Disney Baby and Petunia Pickle Bottom recently teamed up for a brand-new collab. The Love Mickey Mouse line is a collection of backpack-style diaper bags—and it’s available right now!

The Petunia Pickle Bottom and Disney Baby Love Mickey Mouse line includes the META ($169), Method ($159) and Boxy Backpack ($220). Along with the diaper bags, the line also features the Nimble Diaper Clutch, Sip & Snap bottle holder and Cool Pixel Plus.

Love Mickey Mouse is a line filled with fashionable, but functional, picks. Look for backpack linings covered in a “Love Mickey” graphic.

The sweet pattern also covers the bags’ accessories and the backpacks’ exteriors also feature Mickey Mouse outlines in tonal shades of grey.

If you’re not into a pink or blue baby bag, you don’t have anything to worry about with this line. The backpacks and accessories have a gender neutral color scheme. This makes the line perfect for every new parent and every new occasion you’ll experience with your new little love.

It’s time for a very happy birthday to two Weedy Seadragons (aka Leafy Seadragons) who were hatched at Birch Aquarium at Scripps Institution of Oceanography, UC San Diego one year ago this week! In honor of the growing babies, Birch Aquarium is celebrating by launching a live Seadragon Cam so you can check up their growth anytime you want.

Born on Feb. 11 and 12 2020, each one was less than one inch at birth! The momentous occasion was the first time Birch Aquarium bred Weedy Seadragons and one of the only aquariums in the world to have done so.

For now, Birch Aquarium is still closed to the public. In the meantime, you can get your Weedy Seadragon fix by tuning into the webcam at HDOnTap 24/7 (and maybe zen out a little bit, too).

Who else watches the Super Bowl for the ads? Doritos has been a Super Bowl fixture for more than two decades, this year the brand is bringing a whole new dimension to gameday with the highly anticipated return of Doritos 3D Crunch. To mark the occasion, Doritos debuted its Super Bowl campaign, #FlatMatthew, with a cliff-hanging teaser that leaves fans guessing who exactly the commercial’s secret star could be.

Fans can get a first glimpse of the commercial in a teaser video Doritos dropped today [see here], which features Jimmy Kimmel introducing his mysterious talk show guest to a shocked Mindy Kaling. “Did you see him backstage? He’s got a whole new look. Like a look that no one’s ever had before,” says Kimmel to Kaling referring to the mystery star.

“I couldn’t be more thrilled to introduce this campaign to the world and see fans’ smiles,” said Rachel Ferdinando, SVP and Chief Marketing Officer, Frito-Lay North America. “With the launch of our biggest innovation in a decade in new Doritos 3D Crunch, we wanted to share in a big way. To be able to showcase this breakthrough product on the Super Bowl with the help of the incredible Jimmy Kimmel and Mindy Kaling is awesome. I can’t wait to reveal our third mystery character in the story.”

The Top Gifts for Every Age & Stage for the 2020 Holiday Season

The holidays are fast approaching. And for the past few weeks, my mind has been filled with excitement and longing for celebration and togetherness. In an ever-changing world that we are a part of, looking forward to something is a must these days. But as the first of the next few major holidays creep up on our families, a new concept plagues my thoughts.

In our area, holiday gatherings are not “banned” but discouraged, as we still reside within a worldwide pandemic. And there’s a very real chance that we won’t be able to come together, as we usually do, I can’t help but wonder if Beckett even notice? Will he even care? Does he recognize Thanksgiving? Does he yearn for Christmas cheer? Will he learn the tradition behind celebrating a New Year? Will he wonder why such a disruption has occurred this year? Or will it all pass him by for yet another year, like a busy day simply following the next?

I’m a people person. I love to be around others. To joke, to laugh, to engage. To see emotion exude from the faces of those you love. And my boy, my sweet, nonverbal, autistic little love, he much prefers his own company at this point. The company of the few. Too many faces equal too many feelings. We know this. We are quite familiar, as he is anything but “silent” on the subject. But he does enjoy to explore, and run, and do his own thing, no matter if we are home or in a relative’s space.

So we go, we do, we push for inclusivity. And we cross our fingers for our positive, happy boy to acclimate. Oh, 2020. The many curve balls you have thrown. With the probability low that we will be able to get together for these holidays, I’m saddened. But not just for my own selfish holiday-loving reasons. But because it has dawned on me that my littlest love, my loving little boy, may very well be happy yet to simply stay. He cares not if our Thanksgiving table is home to three chairs or twenty. He pays no mind to Christmas trees or presents. He will remain here at home, in his element for these celebrations with us, and whether or not he knows they have arrived, he will be delighted. Because he is home. His safe place. The place of little want, or questions, or confusion. And a big part of me is forever grateful for it. Because he knows our love for him.

But I hope with all my might that we can someday reach a day where he requests to go out. That he prefers to go and be in the company of all the people that love him. To get to the day that he knows the excitement of holidays, and traditions, even if they look different to all others. Traditions are made to be your own, after all. With all the change occurring, I suppose it better that Beckett doesn’t know the importance of these days to his Mama. It’s better this way, to keep his springy spirit. But I pray that one day in his future, we can all celebrate, and he will look forward to the occasion and the love that follows.

Beckett is Autistic and non-verbal, so BriAnna created her page, "To Infinity & Beyond Words" to shine a light of love on their world of special needs. Their family of three call Nebraska home, and call themselves blessed.

Thanksgiving this year may be missing Great Aunt Sue’s famous pumpkin pie and Uncle Joe’s flag football game, but some things will never change: a day to reflect and be grateful for everything we do have. Connect with your loved ones and give thanks—even if it is at a distance or virtually—with a Thanksgiving gathering. There’s another reason to look forward to the holiday season. The Walt Disney Company announced that Soul, the all-new original feature from Pixar Animation Studios, will debut exclusively on Disney+ on Dec. 25, 2020. In international markets where Disney+ isn’t currently or soon to be available, Soul will be released theatrically, with dates to be announced.

“We are thrilled to share Pixar’s spectacular and moving Soul with audiences direct to Disney+ in December,” said Bob Chapek, Chief Executive Officer, The Walt Disney Company. “A new original Pixar film is always a special occasion, and this truly heartwarming and humorous story about human connection and finding one’s place in the world will be a treat for families to enjoy together this holiday season.”

Soul comes from visionary filmmaker Pete Docter, the Academy Award-winning director behind Inside Out and Up, and co-director/writer Kemp Powers, playwright and screenwriter of One Night in Miami. It stars the voice talents of Jamie Foxx, Tina Fey, Phylicia Rashad, Ahmir Questlove Thompson, Angela Bassett and Daveed Diggs and features original jazz music by globally renowned musician Jon Batiste and a score composed by Oscar winners Trent Reznor and Atticus Ross (The Social Network).

“The world can be an exhausting and frustrating place – but it’s also full of unexpected joys, even in seemingly mundane things,” said Docter, director of Soul and Chief Creative Officer of Pixar Animation Studios. “ Soul investigates what’s really important in our lives, a question we’re all asking these days. I hope it will bring some humor and fun to people at a time when everyone can surely use that.”

Previously scheduled for theatrical release on Nov. 20, 2020, Soul was named an official selection of the Cannes Film Festival earlier this year along with multiple upcoming festivals including the British Film Institute’s London Film Festival this Sunday.

Now this is a story all about how…it’s been 30 years since The Fresh Prince pulled up at his family’s Beverly Hills mansion! To commemorate the occasion, Will Smith recently announced that he will be opening up the doors to the house where it all happened.

Starting Sept. 29 at 11:00 a.m. PST, groups of up to two Los Angeles County residents will have the opportunity to book a one night stay in Will’s wing of the mansion. To honor the 30 years that have passed since the show started, the five bookings will only cost $30 a night and will occur on Oct. 2, 5, 8, 11 and 14, 2020.

With some major updates since the 90’s, the wing showcases big style with access to Will’s bedroom and bathroom, a poolside lounge area and dining room. Guests are in for a big treat with perks that include trying on some of the Prince’s Air Jordans, spinning throwbacks on turntables, dressing up in clothes from Will’s closet and lounging poolside.

Guests can also make a request to be a part of a special Airbnb Online Experience with DJ Jazzy Jeff, where he will teach guests how to spin and scratch and virtually spend time with him in his home studio.

Anyone interested must prove Los Angeles County residency and currently live in the same household to minimize risk during the Covid-19 pandemic. To request a booking, head to Airbnb starting Sept. 29.
