Netflix’s First Official “The Baby-Sitters Club” Trailer Is Here

Get ready for full on nostalgia. The Baby-Sitters Club is back. Netflix just released the official trailer and we’re so excited.

Last month, Netflix gave us a sneak peek of the new series. Now we were able to get a small snippet of each of the girls in the new trailer. Kristy is a born leader who needs to navigate life with her new stepfather, Claudia is an artist who always has a candy stash nearby, shy Mary Anne meets Logan, boy crazy Stacey tries to snag the cute lifeguard and Dawn is the new girl who needs to tackle a diaper change. Picking up a clear plastic landline, Claudia scored from Etsy Kristy answers, ““Good afternoon, Baby-Sitters Club. This is Kristy Thomas, president and founder, speaking.”

You’ll have those 90s feels when The Baby-Sitters Club premieres on Netflix on Jul. 3.

Jim Gaffigan & His Family Are Helping Our Kids Understand COVID-19

Jim Gaffigan is giving us a peek inside his home during the COVID-19 lockdown. The comedian has started up a few new series highlighting dinnertime and cooking on his YouTube Channel. Recently he also hosted a Q&A with his children and healthcare expert, Andy Slavitt.

Jim Gaffigan and his children interviewed Slavitt, the former Acting Administrator f the Centers for Medicare and Medicaid Services during the Obama Administration. Gaffigan posted the video on his YouTube page to help families better explain the virus in a relatable way to their young children.

Gaffigan also has a new hit series on YouTube, Dinner with The Gaffigans, a fun family-friendly show that invites viewers to peek inside what goes on at the Gaffigan family dinner table each night during social distancing. Gaffigan, his wife and 5 kids stream their dinner live on Gaffigan’s YouTube and Facebook pages.

In conjunction with the nightly dinner series, Gaffigan is also providing cooking tips during quarantine with a series called, Let’s Get Cookin!.

LEGOLAND’s New Pirate Island Hotel Will Open with a Daredevil Stunt

If the name Nik Wallenda rings a bell, it’s because he just walked over an active volcano, live on ABC, as his latest high-wire stunt. And his next major event will be walking the plank at the grand opening of the all-new Pirate Island hotel at LEGOLAND^® Florida Resort.

In true pirate-fashion, Wallenda will “walk the plank” from inside the theme park to the new hotel to kick off the resort’s opening festivities on Thursday, April 16. LEGOLAND Florida Resort park and hotel guests are invited to take part in the fun and watch the nail-biting stunt safely from the ground.

Wallenda will walk across an over 500 ft. long high wire, using a 28-foot balance pole enhanced with LEGO bricks. Check out the video below of Wallenda’s invite and a sneak peek of the progress of the hotel!

If you can’t make it to LEGOLAND on April 16, don’t worry. The event will be covered on LEGOLAND’s Facebook and Instagram accounts.

Pirate Island Hotel will be connected to the existing LEGOLAND Hotel, becoming the third on-site hotel at the LEGOLAND Florida Resort. Located right outside the main gates of the park (130 steps, to be exact) the hotel will include 150 rooms, a heated pool and pool deck, a pirate ship in front of the hotel, a pirate-themed restaurant, nightly kid-friendly programming, LEGO character experiences, LEGO play pits and a lobby bar for the grown-ups.

Pirate Island Hotel will officially open to the public on Fri., April 17. Reservations are available at LEGOLAND.com/pirateisland

Stormi Webster isn’t the only kid who can go full luxe when it comes to play time. From doors that really open to working radios (there’s also Bluetooth capabilities!), the details on the brand-new collection of luxury ride-on vehicles from Kid Trax are a far cry from the Barbie Corvette of your childhood. We got a sneak peek at the new rides before their grand unveiling at the 117th Annual Toy Fair in New York City this weekend, and we weren’t disappointed.

These ride-on vehicles take imaginary play to the next level. The new Premium Collection will include a Luxury Land Rover Range Rover Velar in silver, a Maserati Gran in pink or red and a Chevy Colorado in camo. Designed to look exactly like the real thing, each one of these ride-on vehicles can go up to 2.5 MPH forward or in reverse, have real LED headlights, a six-volt rechargeable battery and a wall charger, and there’s even an adult-operated remote control.

Each ride-on vehicle fits one kid, ages three to five or a max weight of 77 lbs (Chevy goes to 60 lbs). The Chevy ($389) will hit the market in March 2020, the Range Rover ($399) and Maserati ($349) will be available for purchase in April 2020.

“High School Musical: The Musical: The Series” Will Take on “Beauty and the Beast” in Season 2

The cast of High School Musical: The Musical: The Series wants to know, “Will you be our guest?” The popular Disney+ series is looking to tackle another Disney classic in their upcoming second season. We can’t wait to see what happens on stage and behind the curtains when the cast puts on a production of Beauty and the Beast for their next school musical.

After putting on a production of High School Musical in season one, the East High drama students are coming back for season 2. The cast members of the Disney+ series gave us a sneak peek of what’s to come as they sang the title song from the 1991 animated film.

According to Playbill, production for season two is officially underway in Salt Lake City. The release date is “slated for a late 2020 debut” and will feature songs from both the High School Musical movies and Beauty and the Beast, as well as more original songs.

If you thought Stormi Webster’s 1st birthday was extravagant, welcome to the sequel. Kylie Jenner teased the party in December 2019 when she tweeted that it was going to be “insane.” On Saturday, Jenner gave her fans a sneak peek of the festivities when she shared photos and videos on her Instagram story.

Jenner was also joined at the celebration by Stormi’s dad, Travis Scott.

“StormiWorld 2” did not disappoint. The entrance to the party was comprised of a giant head made to look like Stormi inspired by Scott’s 2018 “Astroworld” album cover. The party was so large, guests needed guidebooks, mapping out the various attractions and where to find them.

A “Frozen” room featured Elsa, and ice sculpture of Olaf, a craft station, a bounce house, and furniture made from ice. The “Trolls” room had rainbow decor and characters from the movie. Finally, the largest room was dedicated to Stormi herself. It had a giant slide, a ball pit shaped like an “S”, and dancers on stilts.

Jenner captioned one of her posts, “Such a blessing to be able to create these magical experiences for my baby. StormiWorld!!!! ⚡️🌎 thank you God.”

Guests included Hailey Bieber, Rosalía, Chrissy Teigen, and John Legend. Attendees could stay entertained with a claw machine game, a photo booth, and a tie-dye station or by riding “Crazy Dumbos” inspired by the Disney elephant.

Guests sang Happy Birthday to the two-year-old around a Stormi World cake surrounded by sweets. As the theme of the party stated, “2 is better than 1!”

“Hamilton” Is Going to Be a Movie with the Original Broadway Cast

Lin Manuel Miranda has finally confirmed the rumor that the Ham Fam was hoping to be true. Hamilton is hitting the big screen.

As Red Tricycle previously reported, the film version of the hit Broadway musical is in fact a recording of the live stage show and not an adaptation. Miranda confirmed in a recent interview with Variety that the film was shot when the original Hamilton cast was still performing on Broadway.

The original cast includes Miranda as Alexander Hamilton, Leslie Odom Jr. as Aaron Burr, Phillipa Soo as Eliza Hamilton, Jonathan Groff as King George III and Daveed Diggs as Marquis de Lafayette/Thomas Jefferson. In the interview Miranda explained, “You all have that friend who brags, ‘I saw that with the original cast.’ We’re stealing that brag from everyone. You’re all gonna see it with the original cast.”

The only question is when fans will finally get to see it? Miranda says, “Hopefully sooner than later.” With the Hamilton film already shot it’s just a matter of figuring out who will distribute it and when, so we can all finally get a peek in the room where it happens.
