After more than a decade leading marketing and digital commerce strategies for brands such as Ralph Lauren, Tory Burch and Chico's FAS, Miki Racine Berardelli was named the CEO of KIDBOX, the first kids’ style box that combines cool brands, meaningful savings and a social mission at its core. (For every box kept by a customer, the company partners with K.I.D.S. / Fashion Delivers to clothe a child in need.) "Our mission is very simple: to clothe one million children in need, one box at a time," she says. She made a migration to suburban New Jersey, where she now lives with her husband and two sons Max (13) and Vic (11) that will be familiar to many area parents: She had her first son when living on the Upper East side, her second living in Park Slope, Brooklyn, and landed in New Jersey when it became clear that her active little boys could use more space and a big yard. ("We love it," she says of the Garden State.)
Yet Another Reason To Like Her: She grew up the youngest of four girls, and finds living in a household of all boys fun — but has backup from the other lady in the house, a yellow Lab name "Lou."
Work/Life: People frequently tell me, 'You seem to have it all figured out,' and I am always taken aback because there is no such thing. My husband and I 'figure it out' on a daily basis," she says."I don’t know if there is truly life vs. work balance, I think of it more as life + work integration. There are times when duty calls and I need to spend a disproportionate amount of time at work and there are times when I must prioritize my family and personal life. I am also very fortunate to have an amazingly supportive husband and children who cheer for my career success.
