Rose City Food Park Cooks Up The Good Stuff

Let’s face it, cold temps and rainy days don’t squash the cravings for the good ole’ comfort of our favorite food carts.  Thanks to Rose City Food Park in NE Portland families no longer need to hold out for warmer weather. This food pod has hit it out of the park and has us doing cartwheels of praise.

Why we love Rose City Food Park
This food park screams all things family friendly with kid’s play area, brightly colored murals, a covered/heated eating area, ample off street parking, dog area with waste baggies, ATM,  and Portland’s first food park that is 100% compostable and recyclable!

Feed and Entertain Your Kids
Kids in strollers? No worries. All carts are on a newly cemented lot which means your stroller will glide smoothly straight from the parking lot to the eateries. And there will be zero muddy messes from those all too tempting puddles your little cruisers just can’t seem to resist.

While mud puddle entertainment is out, Rose City has thought about how to keep families coming back. A bright and vibrant mural overlooks a kid’s play area equipped with a mini playhouse and ship that are certain to inspire imaginations.

Insider Tip: Bring along a few sticks of chalk and your budding artists can make their own wall art on the large area painted with chalkboard paint.

What About the Food?
Ten carts of pure yumminess including a divine little Sugar Shop certain to delight the wee ones and grown ones alike. For a perfect winter meal try hot soup with a gourmet grilled cheese sandwich from Garcelon’s. Or give any number of other hot meals a go. With specialty carts ranging from Burgers to Thai to Kebobs and a number of other choices, every member of the family is sure to be pleased. With most meals at less than $8 per plate our pocketbooks are super happy too.

Must Try
Cold weather no longer requires a halt in your smoothie consumption.  At Moberi Smoothies you and your kiddos can work up a small sweat by making your own smoothies on bike powered blenders. Moberi will have your children on their knees, begging to make their own dinner! Now that your kids have had loads of fun pedal powering their meal, go ahead and down that hard earned smoothie in the warmth of the enclosed heated eating area.

No more cold weather excuses. Get out and comfortably enjoy all your favorite eats.

Note: Without signs parking can be tricky to find.  Park in the Hollywood Fitness parking lot as Rose City Food Park and Hollywood Fitness share space.
