We’ve pieced together the best our area has to offer when it comes to family farms. From animal encounters and berry picking, to farms that add carnival faves alongside their wide open spaces, each one guarantees enough fresh air plus play time to tucker out your mini farm hand by the end of the day. Foster’s Produce & Corn MazeThere’s much to love about Foster’s Produce and Corn Maze in Arlington. Your petit pardner will love wandering through the Old West Town that doubles as a petting zoo, where he or she can interact with your run of the mill farm animals, and a few special ones too. The “goat comedians” at Foster’s are ready to put on a show for your wee one. Just be sure to bring a quarter and your sense of humor because the kiddos will dig this treat. There’s also a Kidz Corral where little farmers can burn off some energy and take a run through the hay maze. At only a buck a kid, it’s a total deal. While your Little plays, parents can wander the market picking up dinner for a farm fresh meal. We hear the sweet corn’s the bomb and since grilling weather is here, it’s the right time to pick up a few ears. You’ll also find every berry imaginable under the tent. The early sunshine means strawberries are the current “it” berry, but your favorite others aren’t too close behind, with raspberries, tayberries, boysenberries and blueberries arriving on the scence shortly. If you’re thinking summer berry crumble, we are too! Special Event: If you love the summer activities at Foster’s, be sure to head back in October for the month-long Fall Festival. Last year’s corn maze theme was The Wizard of Oz. After you and your mini crew have found your way back to Kansas, be sure to take a turn at the pumpkin blaster or ride the cow train with your sidekick. It’s everything a rockin’ Fall Festival should be! Foster’s Produce and Corn Maze 5818 State Route 520 N.E.
