Target Makes an Important Vow About Their Kids’ Snacks

The only thing better than scoring great deals on things your family needs, is knowing that those items are safe and healthy. Target has pledged that all of their own store-brand kids foods will be free of artificial colors and sweeteners by the end of the year.

From mac and cheese to granola bars and animal crackers, Target’s market shelves are full of items that are probably staples on your kid’s daily menu. And now you can please your little eaters and gain some peace of mind with the company’s commitment to remove all artificial flavors, sweeteners, colors and preservatives, as well as trans fats and high fructose corn syrup from all of their Target-owned brands, including Simply Balanced and Market Pantry.

A majority of these items are already free of these artificial additions, but as part of the company’s Corporate Social Responsibility Commitment, they have vowed to be 100% free by 2018. As if you didn’t love Target enough already, you now have one more reason to go on a shopping spree.
