So Your Kids Think They Can Dance? 5 Dance Studios We Love

So your little one has been rocking out since they could roll over? Maybe it’s time to encourage that natural talent, or at the very least help them burn off some of that excess energy. Who knew a little human could stay in constant motion? We’ve put together a list of five studios that will have your kids moving and grooving, and then snoozing.

Dance 411
While Dance 411 teaches ballet and tumbling, they are perhaps best known for their hip hop and breakdancing classes. Yes, breakdancing.  Your preschooler can learn to pop and lock in no time flat! Dance 411 is the kind of studio where you’d be likely to run into some famous dancers. In fact, many of the instructors have impressive dance careers themselves, from prima ballerinas to concert tour choreographers—these are some talented folks! The kiddos are getting some serious spotlights too. DanceKidsATL, a new reality show on TLC, follows ten of these hardworking dancers. Even if your focus is fun rather than fame, Dance 411 offers a non-intimidating space for your kiddo to try out their twinkle toes.

Gotta Dance
Gotta Dance is a beautiful and spacious studio that offers both dance and fitness classes. Here you’ll find one of the largest assortments of classes for your tots to try out—including everything from jazz, modern, and tap. Atlanta Dance Central
Looking for a more classical approach to dance? Does your little one dream of tutus and ballet recitals? Then Atlanta Dance Central may be just the place for your tiny dancer.  Geared towards a long-term dance education, it’s safe to say that their focus is on ballet and classical dance; however they also offer acrobatics and a fun musical theater camp.

Psst:  The Foster-Schmidt Dance Academy for Down Syndrome is a branch of Dance Central that offers weekly class for its participants, and helps individuals with Down syndrome with building self-esteem and self-awareness. Most of all, it gives everyone an opportunity to dance. Sounds like a worthy cause to us!

AWPlayers Company
Maybe your kid wants to dance, sing and act? AWPlayers Company is intense Musical theater training for the kid who has stars in their eyes and truly wants to see their name in lights. The company is led by some serious industry heavy weights, such as Anthony Galde, who spent seven years on Broadways Wicked!
