Get ready for a trip back to Bedrock! FOX Entertainment and Warner Bros. Animation recently announced the future debut of a new animated comedy for adults based on the iconic Flintstones characters.

The new primetime series, aptly titled Bedrock, is currently in development. Elizabeth Banks will produce the series pilot and voice the role of a 20-something Pebbles. Lindsay Kerns (Jurassic World: Camp Cretaceous, DC Super Hero Girls, Trolls: The Beat Goes On!) will write the pilot script.

Bedrock starts two decades after the classic family show left off. In the new series, Fred is heading towards retirement, young adult Pebbles is starting a career of her own, and the Stone Age is not-so-subtly shifting into the Bronze Age.

Michael Thorn, President, Entertainment, FOX Entertainment, said in a press release, “Long before the Simpsons and Springfield, the Griffins and Quahog or even when the Belchers started serving burgers on Ocean Avenue, there were the Flintstones and Bedrock.” Thorn continued, ““Their imprint on the animation universe is undeniable and the idea of adapting it for today’s audience is a challenge we here at FOX are very much looking forward to taking on with Warner Bros., Elizabeth and Lindsay. No pressure whatsoever, really.”

Peter Girardi, Executive Vice President, Alternative Programming at Warner Bros. Animation, said, “The Flintstones are the first family of primetime animation.” Girardi added, “Elizabeth and Lindsay have a brilliant take on these characters, and FOX and Brownstone are the perfect partners to bring them back to primetime. This is going to rock (sorry).”

My Little Pony is getting a makeover. Hasbro’s entertainment studio Entertainment One recently announced the upcoming release of theatrical-quality CG animation film and a new series debuting on Netflix later this year!

The iconic world of Equestria is expanding. In the new My Little Pony franchise film, the beloved brand will introduce a new generation of adorable awesomeness and cute cartoons (or rather, CG animated) creatures.

My Little Pony’s latest creation features a divided world, where the Ponies are separated into species. Your kiddo will get to know Sunny Starscout, an idealistic young pony who just doesn’t fit in with the rest of the Earth Pony townies. When Izzy the Unicorns wanders into town, Sunny befriends the magical being and takes off on an out-of-this-world adventure. The pair travel to far away lands, face their fears, turn old enemies into friends, and so much more.

As if Sunny and Izzy’s My Little Pony adventures aren’t enough, the film also includes the “world’s cutest” flying Pomeranian and a cast of characters your kiddo is sure to love.

The CG animated Netflix film isn’t the end of the newest My Little Pony saga. Sunny Starscout and her friends will return to the streaming service for an all-new series this fall.

EPCOT isn’t the only Disney theme park getting an update. While Disneyland remains closed due to the pandemic, Imagineers have been hard at work giving Snow White’s Scary Adventures a major overhaul.

The only only ride-through princess attraction at Disneyland has been reimagined and renamed as Snow White’s Enchanted Wish and it finally gives Snow White the happy ending she deserves. Keep scrolling to get a first look at the park’s “new” attraction.

Imagineers used this time to update the Fantasyland attraction which last received an update in the 80’s. The ride uses state-of-the-art audio and visual technology, new music, LED black lighting, laser projections and a new animation system which brings the experience into the 21st century.

While there’s no word yet on when the park will reopen, when it does, Snow White will be ready for guests.
