National Eat Your Vegetable Day is June 17 and broccoli is the most popular veggie in the U.S., according to a new survey from Green Giant. Believe it or not, every person who picked it said the taste was the top factor!
Regionally there are some disagreements. The East Coast prefers broccoli, but the West Coast leans in favor of carrots. Unsurprisingly, corn is the king of many Midwest states. But every state picked one of those three vegetables as the best, pushing aside past favorites that included tomatoes and cucumber.
Also unsurprisingly, small children were not included in this survey. Green Giant collected data from more than 5,000 Americans over the age of 18. There would likely be even more disagreement among kids and we predict that green smoothies would be a top contender.
Thankfully Green Giant has an array of options for the veggie-averse members of your family. Cauliflower pizza crust, riced veggies, veggie tots and spirals, all frozen for easy side options! Feel free to conduct your own informal survey with your family—with a side of broccoli of course—to mark this week’s holiday.
So you have a baby—congrats! If you gave birth during the pandemic, you may have left a few essentials off of your must-have baby list, namely, those that make traveling easier. Well, it’s finally time to dust off those suitcases and head out to see people we love and have missed so much!
You have probably figured out that you need a lot of gear to travel with an infant—but it doesn’t have to be that way… at least as far as carriers go! We have found the holy grail of baby carriers, seriously: We may want to have another baby now just to use this carrier—and couldn’t have come at a better time to travel and see family. Read on for seven reasons why the CUDL™ baby carrier by the baby-gear geniuses at Nuna® is the only baby carrier you will ever need.
Newborn carrying? No problem. Baby wants to face in? No problem. Baby wants to face out? Got it. Now your baby is not so little anymore and getting too heavy—want to carry them on your back? Go for it! This carrier works overtime, canceling out the need to keep buying carriers for multiple scenarios. Once again, the CUDL baby carrier has your back (and can go on your back), with four carry positions that encourage healthy hip and spine development: Newborn mode, facing in, facing out and back carry. With its wide adjustability range, 24-57 inches, it’s ideal for all sizes and shapes of adults, so you and your partner can share this one fantastic carrier.
2. Integrated Infant Booster Seat
No need to buy another item for your infant that you'll use for two months, then pawn off on someone else—Nuna'sCUDL has you covered! An infant booster is included in the design for comfort and safety, with covered, locking zippers to ensure soft and safe use with babies under four months. They've also included innovative leg opening buttons for proper adjustment for smaller babies.

The CUDL has four ergonomic magnetic buckles with MagneTech Secure Snap™. These self-guiding magnetic buckles automatically lock into place, ensuring an easy and secure attachment. No more bashfully asking a stranger to help you clip on your carrier—you can do it all by yourself!
4. Dreamy Fabric
This extraordinary carrier is made with better-for-baby OEKO-TEX® fabric verified in an independent laboratory and tested for harmful substances. Nuna thought of everything and even included two GOTS™ certified organic cotton bibs. What's so great about GOTS? It's grown without harmful pesticides, and this organic cotton is toxin-free and best for babies. Need a refresher? Just toss the removable bib in the wash or your entire CUDL when life gets too messy. And because a sweaty baby is not a happy baby, the CUDL is warm-weather ready with mesh fabric that allows air to flow... ahh.
Because health matters, too: The CUDL is designed and acknowledged as a “Hip Healthy” product by the IHDI (International Hip Dysplasia Institute) when used as instructed. Dad joke alert: Hip, Hip, Hooray! (cue the groans.)

The CUDL by Nuna is the proud recipient of The Red Dot Product Design Award 2020, an international design competition for product design, communication design and design concepts.
Because parents have their own gear to carry, too, Nuna incorporated a zip-open storage pocket on the waistband to fit your cellphone, keys and cash—brilliant!

What do moms really want for Mother’s Day? Breck’s recently tried to answer this question with a two-part study that included an analysis of Google Trends search volumes and a survey of 700 mamas across the country.
The first part of the study looked specifically at the types of flowers googled in the week leading up to Mother’s Day in each state over the past five years. It’s no surprise that the iconic rose scored the top spot—with more searches than other flowers in a whopping 18 states.
Second place went to three different flowers: Gardenias, cyclamen, and poppies. Other highly-searched flowers across the country included crocuses (the most popular in Hawaii and Kansas) and tulips (the winner in Michigan and Indiana).
The 700-mom survey reflected the search trends, with more than 60 percent of mamas saying they would want to get roses for Mother’s Day. Forty-six percent of participants wanted tulips and 40 percent wanted lilies.
Along with flower choices, Breck’s survey also looked at Mother’s Day spending. The average gift for mom tops $67. Fifty-six percent of moms picked gardening wares as a top gift choice, 52 percent would choose food or wine, and 49 percent want clothing, jewelry, or accessories!
We all know just how much work goes into being a mom, but now there’s a study that can actually confirm it in case anyone ever dares to question how you spend your day. According to research being a mom is the equivalent of working 2.5 full-time jobs.
A study conducted by Welch’s of 2,000 moms found that they spent an average of 98 hours per week doing mom duties. Most moms “clocked in” for the day around 6:23 a.m. and “clocked out” again around 8:31 p.m. for a 14-hour day. The opt-in survey respondents had kids ranging in age from 5 to 12. Had they included moms of babies still waking in the middle of the night, it could very well be a 24-hour “work” day.
The survey showed that, on average, moms got just over one hour to themselves every day. Four out of every 10 moms surveyed said that their week felt like a never-ending list of tasks.
“The results of the survey highlight just how demanding the role of mom can be and the non-stop barrage of tasks it consists of,” said Casey Lewis, MS, RD and Health & Nutrition Lead at Welch’s.
The survey also asked what moms relied on most to help them survive the long work week. The most popular responses included coffee, wine, Netflix, wet wipes, iPads, and toys.
Do you have mountains of kid-made art your littles bring home from daycare or school? If you answered “yes,” you aren’t alone.
According to a new survey from OnePoll conducted on behalf of Canvaspop, the average American mom gets 45 pieces of homemade art as gifts from their kiddos. The poll, which included 2,000 moms, revealed mothers reported getting an average of six drawings, four finger paintings and four watercolor paintings as holiday presents over the course of their mom-ing life.

If you’re into displaying your child’s mini masterpieces, you’re in good company. A whopping 76 percent of moms surveyed reported framing their kiddo’s artwork.
Even though moms are obviously into framing kid-created art, the survey’s stats also show parents want more than finger paintings and collages on their walls. Sixty-seven percent of the moms surveyed wish they have more photos of their fam to hang on the walls too.
Brittany Norris, Brand Marketing Manager for Canvaspop, said in a press release, “Moms are amazing about making sure that their family’s biggest moments are captured.” Norris added, “That’s why it’s important to take the time to go through your favorite photos and print the ones that say thank you for always being there.”
