Got some pastafarians in your house? We’ve got some seriously fun and super cheap spaghetti play that will really have them using their noodles. Read on for some awesome 4 ways to make create games they’ll love.

Spaghetti Race
Put two pieces of uncooked spaghetti side by side on a table (or floor). Be sure it’s a table you can either move around or that isn’t too long. Each person blows on their spaghetti noodle trying to race to the “finish line” at the other end.

Colored Spaghetti
Boil pasta as you ordinarily would, but add a few drops of food coloring to the water along with a dash of salt. The results will vary depending on how many drops (and how much spaghetti you are cooking) but you’ll end up with some pastel noodles that you can eat, or just play with.

Spaghetti Engineering
Use spaghetti noodles (dry) and marshmallows to build a structure. The marshmallows act as joints and supports. See who can build the tallest, the fanciest or the fastest structure in your crew.

Be Board
There’s some serious fun to be had when it comes to spaghetti-themed board games. We’re super fond of Yeti in My Spaghetti, a new board game that has players removing the “spaghetti” one by one without making the Yeti fall.

The Kar-Jenner clan is known for their over-the-top birthday parties. And, according to the pics aunt Kim Kardashian West posted on Instagram over the weekend, True Thompson’s first bday bash was no exception.

Khloe’s daughter turned one on Apr. 12 and the fab fete she recently held (last month) looks like it was fun for all. Kim K’s pics include sweet shots of her kiddos, all wearing matching creamy beige dresses. That is, expect for son Saint—who got matchy with his daddy, Kanye West, wearing grey sweats.

Even though aunt Kim only recently posted pics of her niece’s big day, mama Khloe Instagrammed the event several weeks ago. Khloe’s posts show a pastel-hued rainbow cascade of balloons, an over-sized “True” topiary, cute cotton candy animals and pink-maned “unicorn” ponies for the kids to ride on.

While Kim K is busy posting photos of her family’s fun time at True’s party now, we’re betting she’ll have something (or rather, someone) new to post about soon. The reality-star/entrepreneur/media mogul is about to become a mama for the fourth time any day!

When the big red bullseye retailer recently announced the release of Yes Way Rosé vino in a can we thought life couldn’t get much better. But wait for it—now the Insta-famous brand is also selling rosé wine bouquets at Target. And this pretty pink pick is perfectly fit for your Mother’s Day wish list.

The rosé-inspired blush-hued rose bouquets may not come with a bottle (or can) of your fave adult beverage. But this sweet selection is a cute way for kiddos to honor mom with something she’ll totally appreciate. Even though the rosy rosé florals aren’t available yet, reports list the retail price as $17 per bouquet.

But wait fresh-cut flowers aren’t the only Yes Way Rosé Mother’s Day pick you’ll find at Target this spring. Look for rosé-themed cupcakes too. The four-pack ($3.99) and jumbo ($2.99) sweet treat has the signature pastel pink rosé color—but doesn’t include the alcohol.

According to recent reports, the wine-inspired frosted treats will make their grand debut Apr. 21. Even though you’ll need to wait a few days to get the goodies, don’t wait for too long. The Yes Way Rosé bouquets and cupcakes are only available until May 12.

April is packed with celeb birthdays. Jennifer Garner, Kate Hudson, Russell Crowe, Cynthia Nixon and Mandy Moore to name a few. Along with the A-list bunch, designer, HGTV star, author and entrepreneur Joanna Gaines is also in the April birthday club. And we’ve got the deets on the sweet way she celebrated.

Gaines recently posted a pastel-filled pic on Instagram, showing fans her 41st birthday morning. With the caption, “Sweet kids surprised me this morning with all my favorites: fresh flowers, hot donuts, breakfast tacos and a pretty color palette,” we’re pretty sure that the mama to five had an absolutely magnificent morning.

This isn’t the first time Gaines has had a breakfast-time bday bash at home. In 2016 Gaines’ husband Chip and four kiddos (obviously this was before baby Crew’s birth) threw her a superhero-styled breakfast birthday party.

Whether it’s kids sporting superhero masks or fresh-cut flowers and hot donuts (yes please!), it looks like a breakfast bash is all the rage—at least in the Gaines household. And given the popularity of just about everything this family does, it won’t surprise us if mamas across the country follow suit. After all, who doesn’t want to wake up to a homemade meal and their kiddos’ smiling faces?

The New York Toy Fair 2018 is bringing innovations and new products galore to us ‘always on the search for the next big thing’ mamas. But not every toy that’s making its way to the showcase is brand-new. Pillow Pets are coming back, and in a major way.

The original Pillow Pets line is relaunching this year. The “Signature” line will include popular pets, featuring the panda, penguin, unicorn and zebra.

Along with the re-release of the original naptime pals, Pillow Pets is launching several brand-new products. These include products specifically for babies. The My First Pillow Pet line will come in pastel colors and feature three sizes — 5-inch, 11-inch and 18-inch pets. But this isn’t the only line for babies that Pillow Pets is debuting. The Natural Pillow Pets line has cuddly soft that are made from Sherpa materials.

If your kiddo needs a nightlight, the Sleeptime Lites line pulls double duty. Like the name says, it’s a Pillow Pet that also has a nightlight function. Sleeptime Lites have their own timers that shut the lights down after 20 minutes.

Pillow Pets is also bringing some of your kiddo’s favorite licensed characters to their new lines. This includes a Sesame Street line with Elmo, Abby Cadabby and Cookie Monster and other characters from the small screen.

Your baby is tiny and precious and you never want anything bad to happen to her, so why not surround her with the safest, most natural stuff possible? Here, we’ve outlined 14 ways you can give your nursery a green makeover. Whether you choose to make one eco-friendly switch or several, think of this as your ode to Earth Day.

Choose an Eco-friendly Coat of Paint

Freshening up your nursery with a new paint color? Pick one from Lullaby Paints. You can shop online (great for those end-of-pregnancy nesting days when you don't want to leave the house) including ordering free paint sample cards. But most importantly, the paints are some of the safest available, made with out toxic chemicals that will emit volatile organic compounds (VOCs) into your baby's environment. Find colors ranging from pastel blues, pinks and yellows to bold reds and easy neutrals.

Available at lullabypaints.com, $59/quart.

It’s no secret your kid is all about painting, drawing and anything crafts. Need proof? Just take a look at your refrigerator door. Give her an outlet for this creativity outside your home at Smartypants Art Studio, a brand spankin’ new children’s art studio that offers a rainbow rice pit, washable paint, flubber and a boatload of other art materials to budding sculptors, painters and anyone else who wants to put pastel to paper. Read on to discover why this new Overlook hot spot is worth checking out.

The Layout

Art supplies were well-organized on our recent trip on a quiet weekday afternoon. Kids can fill up their trays with paper and small objects (stickers, ribbon, cotton balls, etc.) and get down to the business of working on their creative projects. Crayons, pastels and watercolors were all made available with a smile.

As you first walk in, you’ll see the “rainbow rice” pit to your right, with multi-colored rice grains ready to scoop, and small plastic toys to cover and uncover. (Be sure to take your shoes off.) Then, there’s the light table, where little ones can manipulate and play with plastic colored circles and other interesting objects that allow light to shine through. Two toddler-sized work tables near the front had flubber and sculpting dough.

An easel and painting wall are ready for paint and brush. There’s even a kid-sized mannequin that serves as a permanent and communal art project. Stations are set up with a different activity each day, so frequent visitors won’t get bored. On the day we visited, kids were very excited to make their own bracelets out of beads and pipe cleaners. Foam dishwashing wands were set into paint pans on the floor to make unusual paint brush strokes on oversized paper.

The Seating Arrangement

A seating space just past the front desk is an inviting place for parents to hang out, while the open floor plan allows them to keep an eye on their artists. If your little one is happily working independently, you might even (gasp) get a moment to read or work for a few minutes.

The Clean-Up

Because paint mixed with kids is always messy, all the paint at Smartypants is mercifully washable. Smocks and aprons are available, too. There’s a sink in the main space for hand washing, as well as a kid-friendly bathroom that has a changing table and a step stool for the sink, so you won’t have to pick up a paint-covered toddler to wash their little hands.

The Road Ahead

The building is still coming together a bit. A classroom, set apart from the open studio by a hallway, will soon hold classes and workshops. An outdoor area is still being constructed, but will soon have a waterworks, mud kitchen and plenty of opportunities for fun in the sun. Workshops and classes focus on particular materials or methods: watercolor, pastel and collage are scheduled.

The Details & Cost

Open studio runs during all hours, so feel free to drop in during normal operating hours. One visit is $12 and includes all materials. Punch cards and memberships are available as well. The studio is closed on Tuesdays.
