And, if Slurpee fans want to mix their NERDS Slurpee drinks with NERDS candy, even better. NERDS candy is one of the best-selling non-chocolate candy brands in our stores.”

Starbucks just unveiled its newest holiday drink and judging by the name alone, it’s a little bit of a mystery how it actually tastes. So we decided to take the plunge and find out for ourselves what the Starbucks Juniper Latte is really like!

The newest addition to Starbucks’ stellar line-up of holiday beverages is unlike anything you’ve had before. Starbucks describes the drink as having “notes of juniper and sage with pine-citrus sugar.” Juniper, for those not in the know, is an evergreen tree that grows small berries that have been used for centuries to treat a variety of ailments. It also happens to be one of the tree species typically grown for Christmas trees. In other words, Starbucks Juniper Latte is practically a Christmas tree in a cup.

So how does the Juniper Latte actually taste? “A light, pine-like flavor with delightful citrus undertones,” the menu description reads. And as weird as it sounds, when we gave it a taste, that’s exactly what it’s like…and it’s kind of awesome!

It’s almost difficult to pinpoint what the flavor really is, but it’s at once tangy and sweet with a hint of mint and spice. Taking a sip is a little like taking a deep breath on a fresh winter day or starring in a commercial for wintergreen gum in the best way possible.

Reactions to the new drink on social media were mixed, with many comparing the drink to a cup of Pine-Sol. Haters gonna hate—and we give it two pine-scented thumbs up. For Starbucks fans that find some of the other holiday offerings a little overwhelming, this subtle and strangely refreshing concoction is destined to be your new favorite. Then again, if you love your drinks on the sweeter side, this might not be the one for you.

The new Starbucks Juniper Latte comes in both hot and iced versions, but get them while you can because, like so many holiday offerings, this one is around for a limited-time only.

Let’s face it– we LOVE wine. And what other goody do we have an infatuation for? Candy. With that in mind, the glorious folks over at Sugarfina teamed up with wine brand Whispering Angel to develop rosé-infused gummy bears.

These treats are becoming so popular, that they were sold out in the first two hours after launching. But don’t worry, the Sugarfina team says they will restock soon.

So what do the gummies taste like? According to Today, it’s lightly fruity, sweet and tangy, nicely balanced and surprisingly truly have the flavor of the Whispering Angel rosé wine that they’re made with. While all that sounds delish, you will not get buzzed from the rosé since the alcohol is burned off the in the cooking process. This means ya might need to share with the kiddos.

Burgers be gone! After one bite, these mini chicken sliders are all your kids will be raving about. The yogurt (we like Greek yogurt) combined with the garlic and lemon adds flavor to the slider and is a much healthier condiment than mayo. You can even prepare the ground chicken mixture the night before and the next day all you need to do is fire up the grill or stovetop before dinnertime. It’s really that easy.

Ingredients
Chicken patties:
1 lb ground chicken
1/4 cup red onion, finely chopped
2 tsp lemon or lime juice
salt and pepper
1 tbsp oil
1 tbsp cold water
1-2 tbsp oil (for frying patties)

Optional:
2 tsp garlic, minced
1/4 cup cilantro, finely chopped

Yogurt sauce:
1 cup yogurt
1 clove garlic, minced
2 tbsp cilantro, finely chopped
2 tsp lemon or lime juice
salt and pepper
8-10 mini burger buns or dinner rolls

Method
1. In a large bowl, combine the ground chicken with all the ingredients for the chicken patties, except the oil needed for frying the patties. Knead the mixture well for 5-7 minutes (this helps to bind the patties naturally, without using eggs or bread crumbs). Let the chicken mixture rest in the fridge for at least 30 minutes, or overnight.

2. Divide the chicken mixture into 8-10 equal portions. With lightly oiled hands, start shaping each portion into little patties, about 2-1/2 inches in diameter.

3. Heat the oil in a large frying pan; fry the patties until golden brown, about 3-4 minutes on each side.

4. To make the yogurt sauce, mix all the ingredients for the sauce together. Serve immediately or keep covered in fridge for up to 2 days.
