Some days, it feels like everyone around you can do something special but you—especially when you’re a kid. Now imagine being a Viking kid growing up with winged reptiles as your family. You don’t fly. You can’t spit fire. Your tail doesn’t shoot shards of bone when you get angry. What’s a Viking kid to do?

This fall, Netflix will bring the heat to the small screen with the release of DreamWorks Dragons Rescue Riders, an exciting tale of two kids and their winged, scaly pals who know that the coolest way to impress others is by helping them. Keep reading to find out why it’s a must-see during family screen time.

The Scoop:
In DreamWorks Dragons Rescue Riders, Viking twins Dak and Leyla—rescued and raised among dragons who teach them to speak the dragon language—have super powers of their own. They use teamwork, friendship, and problem-solving to help others, just like their dragon family did to help them. And we all can agree that firepower doesn’t hold a candle to friendship power. Here are a few reasons we can’t wait for this new show, which debuts on Netflix Sep. 27.

1. The show is familiar but new. Viking twins and their flight of four young flamethrowers exhibit ways to help others through acts of selflessness and bravery in a faraway corner of the Viking and dragon world where fans of How to Train Your Dragon movies have never yet visited. Dragons Rescue Riders is familiar, but new characters mean entirely fresh interactions and challenges, especially with the twins’ unique ability to communicate with dragons.

2. The show is about nice people (and dragons) doing good things. In each episode, the twins and their Rescue Riders embark on a mission to pay forward the kindness of the dragons that raised them and rescue other dragons—who are often just learning how to use their powers—along with people, sheep, and any other creature that finds themselves in danger’s path. This is a show that will fire up a belief in the power of friendship, teamwork and collaboration to overcome differences and help one another out.

3. The show is exciting, funny and easy to experience together. The show is intended for younger kids, but no matter the age or stage of your Dragons fan, Dragons Rescue Riders offers the right mix of creativity and credibility that viewers expect from DreamWorks. Don’t be surprised if your couch isn’t crammed with the whole family when you have Dragons Rescue Riders on.

4. The show will introduce new dragon friends. If your kid is ready to befriend a few new dragon pals, this show will make her day. New and endearing characters include Winger, the most powerful dragon of the crew, Summer who can swim as fast as other dragons can fly, fun-loving Cutter, Burple who is the lovable purple dragon with four stomachs and Aggro, quite possibly the smartest of all the dragons, but also a bit of a hothead. Your kids will soon be familiar with all the lovable quirks of this fun group.

Super powers are cool, and DreamWorks Dragons Rescue Riders gives parents a chance to have them with the touch of a remote control button. Tune in to watch all 13 episodes of DreamWorks Dragons Rescue Riders first season, exclusively available on Netflix on September 27th.

The Wing’s CEO Audrey Gelman recently made history. The then-pregnant mama appeared on the cover of Inc.—along with her baby bump.

As if being the first obviously preggo woman to grace the mag’s cover wasn’t enough excitement for the week, Gelman has even better news.

The CEO, along with husband and Genius co-founder Ilan Zechory, welcomed a baby boy earlier this week!

Gelman posted a sweet pic of her new son and an even cuter family photo. The new mom added the caption, “sidney allen zechory (a.k.a “sid the kid”, “sidney the kidney”) born at 2:18am 7lbs 11oz he is so beautiful we are over the moon.”

Congrats to the new parents!

When you have a sick kiddo at home or you happen to be sick yourself, just making a quick run to get the supplies needed from tissues to medication can be impossible. Now Walgreens new drone delivery service can come to the rescue.

Between sick days and crazy schedules there are some days when moms just wish the items you need could magically appear at your doorstep. Starting next month, Walgreens will be making those wishes come true for customers in Virginia where the company will be testing a new drone delivery service.

Walgreens is rolling out a pilot program in Christiansburg, Virginia which will be the first on-demand drone delivery service in the country. The program is a partnership with dronemaking company Wing, which will also be partnering with other local businesses for delivery during the pilot phase.

“This trial is intended to demonstrate the benefits of drone delivery by improving access to health care products, creating new avenues of growth for local businesses and exploring ways to enhance last-mile delivery service,’’ Wing CEO James Burgess said.

Customers will be able to order items like aspirin, tissues, first aid supplies, allergy medication and more. A drone can be dispatched within minutes of an order being placed and travel up to six miles each way. If the program is successful, perhaps it will expand to more U.S. cities soon.

Juggling a career and motherhood is never easy, but that doesn’t mean being a mom should be hidden from view in the workplace. The Wing CEO Audrey Gelman proudly bares her baby bump on the cover of Inc. magazine and it’s about time.

The October issue of Inc. magazine features a cover story about female founders with a prominent image of Gelman in a snug-fitting black dress against a bright yellow background. There’s absolutely no denying that beautiful baby bump and it’s a groundbreaking day for working women everywhere.

“My hope is that women see this and again feel the confidence to take greater professional risks while also not shelving their dreams of becoming a mother and starting a family,” Gelman told TODAY.

Gelman is the co-founder and CEO of The Wing, a women’s co-working space with locations across the country including New York, Washington, D.C., Los Angeles and Chicago. She explained to TODAY that images like this are critical to eliminating the bias that women can’t successfully balance a career and motherhood.

There’s nothing like a parade to lift your spirits and at one New York hospital, a duck parade is bringing much-needed smiles to patients.

Every year patients at the University of Rochester Thompson Health hospital get to watch one of the cutest parades they’ll ever see: a mother duck followed by her trail of babies making their way through the continuing care wing each Spring!

“Every year, without fail, a mama duck chooses one of the enclosed courtyards at our M.M. Ewing Continuing Care Center to lay her eggs and take care of her babies,” staff wrote on the hospital’s Facebook page. “She lets us know when she’s ready to go by tapping on the glass, and this morning, it was time for this annual rite of spring.”

The ducks follow the same path every year, making their way through the hospital’s hallways, out the door and into a grass outside. This year 13 little ducklings prompted countless smiles thanks to the adorable parade.

With the royal baby making a grand debut in mere weeks, the soon-to-be parents recently released a statement on Meghan Markle’s birth plan. But if you’re expecting a detailed description, think again.

So what do we know? Unlike Kate Middleton, Markle won’t stop for a photo op on the hospital’s steps after delivery. Instead, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex plan to take their first official parenting pics at home on the grounds of Windsor Castle.

When it comes to the royal delivery, Markle may not follow in Middleton’s footsteps either. Even though the Duchess of Sussex hasn’t released specific details, there’s plenty of speculation that she’ll give birth at home in Frogmore Cottage. But in the event of a hospital delivery, it doesn’t look like Markle will labor in the upscale private Lindo Wing of St. Mary’s Hospital where her SIL gave birth. The hospital, which is 25 miles away from Markle’s home, isn’t the nearest (or most practical) option.

Even though the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are departing from the Duke and Duchess of Cambridge’s birth and post-birth pans, it’s likely the palace will still announce when Markle goes into labor. But instead of looking for the announcement on Kensington Royal’s Instagram feed, you’ll find it on the couples’s new IG account @sussexroyal.

If chasing butterflies is your family’s idea of a dream day, then you might want to pay a visit to California where the Painted Lady butterfly migration is currently underway. All you have to do is look up for an amazing view!

Following rainy periods in Mexico and the southwest United States, the orange and black-winged Painted Ladies, also known as Vanessa cardui, make their way north in droves this time of year, which makes for an incredible sight.

“We were seeing at least 100 of them a minute,” Doug Yanega, senior museum scientist at the University of California, Riverside’s Entomology Research Museum, told Los Angeles Curbed.

If weather remains mild, Yangea explained, the butterflies will continue to make their way across the skies as they they travel even further north in the next few months. Then in August they will make their way back down south again in a second migration for the winter.

Can’t make it to SoCal? You can always set your eyes on Twitter and Instagram where videos of these winged beauties are filling feeds for the moment with the hashtag #butterflymigration.
