If you want to know where to go for the best Shirley Temples in the country, just six-year-old Leo Kelly––the Shirley Temple King! The suddenly Insta-famous kiddo is an undisputed aficionado whose now-viral video clips feature reviews of the grenadine-packed non-alcoholic family fave.

The pint-sized reviewer rates the drinks on his own scale of one to 10, also giving his viewers commentary on the grenadine vs. Sprite ratio, cup choice and how many cherries are included.

Even though the six-year-old’s parents started The Shirley Temple King Instagram page last summer, Leo’s reviews only recently took-off. After a review of Longhorn Steakhouse’s Shirley Temple went viral on Twitter, Leo’s IG page went from 300 followers to well over 21,000.

If you’re wondering how the Kelly family came up with this genius (and totally helpful) idea, dad, Tom, told People, “We were on vacation at Gurney’s in Newport, Rhode Island, when Leo ordered a Shirley Temple at the pool and said ‘Dad I think I have an idea’…and the rest is history.”

Sara Blakely may be the genius creator and CEO behind Spanx—but that’s not all. The multitasking mama recently proved she (like many other working moms) can bring home the bacon, fry it up in a pan and apparently take a mid-vacation conference call in car filled with her kiddos.

Blakely recently posted an oh-so-familiar story on LinkedIn. The CEO/mama was on a Florida vaycay with her husband and four kids, driving a rental car, when she got an important work-related call.

The working mom wrote, on LinkedIn, “I had to pull off the side of the road for a conference call. No pen. Lip liner will have to do!” Blakely continued, “Of course, I had everything in my purse (two small cars, a flashlight, diapers, wipes, snacks, army men, and even Buzz Lightyear), but NO PEN! And, my meeting ID number and host code kept changing… “Mommy, why are you writing on your leg when you told us we can’t write on ourselves?”

Of course, Blakely knows she’s not the only working mother to experience this type of comedic mishap. She went on to add, “The struggle is real. The juggle is real. This is why everyone should hire working mothers. They are put in crazy situations all the time and are forced to problem-solve. They are some of my most resourceful employees.” We totally agree!

It can be very challenging to get anything done when your baby won’t let you out of their sight. One mom’s hack to keep her baby smiling is both genius and hilarious.

In a Twitter post that has gone viral, a Japanese dad shared the clever experiment he came up with to help his one-year-old stop crying whenever his wife left the room. As the post explains, the one-year-old cries as soon as his mom leaves his sight, so this clever dad decided to create a life-sized cardboard cutout of his wife to keep him content.

In the Twitter thread that follows, the dad shares that his experiment is, in fact, a huge success and the baby is seen happy and smiling in a video as his cardboard mom watches him play. Eventually, he catches on to the ploy, however, when he starts talking to the cutout and doesn’t receive a response.

Of course, the boy is never left alone and his real mom is always close at hand, but she can probably rest a little easier knowing she can step into another room without setting off a fountain of tears.

If you didn’t catch Australian mum, Jessie Roberts’ Christmas tree laundry hack on Instagram last year, you’ve got another chance!

Last year the ever-Instagramming mommy (or rather, mummy) of three posted the hilariously genius pic with the caption, “The best way to avoid doing the washing, turn it into a Christmas tree. It’s free. I’ll wash this after Christmas or maybe the “elf on the shelf” can help me.”

With Christmas just over a month away, Roberts re-posted the now-beloved hack, adding, “Last years Christmas tree.”

Roberts continued, “We [were] going away for 2 weeks and I couldn’t and didn’t have time to do the washing… so Like any creative person… I improvise.”
