Throughout your pregnancy your growing baby is often compared to fruit to illustrate it’s size. When the world’s smallest baby was born in a San Diego hospital it was the size of an apple.

The Sharp Mary Birch Hospital for Women & Newborns has announced the birth of a baby girl who was just 8.6 ounces when she was born in December. She was born just 23 weeks and three days into her mom’s pregnancy and is beloved to be the world’s smallest surviving micro-preemie.

Doctors didn’t have much hope for the baby after she was born, telling her parents that she likely wouldn’t survive more than an hour. That hour turned into more than five months and the healthy baby has just made her way home weighing five pounds.

The baby, which the nurses nicknamed “Saybie” was delivered early after her mom was diagnosed with preeclampsia. She spent the next several months in the neonatal intensive unit steadily growing. A sign on her crib read “Tiny but Mighty.” As a micro-preemie the baby still has a long road ahead as she continues to grow, but clearly she’s a fighter. “She’s a miracle, that’s for sure,” said nurse Kim Norby.

It’s official. With the news that the Perth, Australia Blockbuster Video store is closing, the last Blockbuster Video store on the planet is now located in Bend, Oregon. That’s right: there’s only one place left on Earth where “Please be kind, rewind” still applies.

Once king of the at-home movie world, VHS tapes went the way of the dinosaurs when DVD and BluRay technology gained popularity. While the disks have had a mighty reign, the rise of streaming services has all but made them obsolete. And now the one place that rented them out is about to go extinct—almost.

Lyn and John Borszeky—the soon-to-be former owners of the Blockbuster in Morley, a suburb of Perth, Australia—recently announced they will close their doors forever by the end of March. Ms. Borszeky told the Australian Associated Press, “We put in a pretty good effort to be the last one in Australia, I suppose, but it was going to happen eventually and now is the time.”

Now that the entire planet is forced to flock to Bend, Oregon for their movie rentals, what can we expect from this lone Blockbuster outpost? To start, it won’t close anytime soon. Even though Dish now owns Blockbuster, the Bend store (like the former other last holdouts) is a franchised store. That means its owner/operator can choose to keep the rental retailer open for as long as they please.

Bend Blockbuster general manager, Sandi Harding, told The Oregonian, “We probably open up 10 accounts a day. It’s crazy the amount of people that come in and want a Blockbuster card.” According to Harding, many of the store’s visitors don’t actually rent movies, but they do come in to buy Blockbuster t-shirts, stickers and other merch.

The nostalgia for the once-global video rental retailer isn’t going away anytime soon, either. Bend-area filmmakers Taylor Morden and Zeke Kamm are working on a documentary about the Oregon store. As of now there’s no release date for “blockbuster” flick.

Have you tried explaining to your tots that when you were a '90s kid, you played with Pokemon cards, not a Pokemon Go app? (And you also walked 15 miles uphill to school, right?)

The objective of the Electronic Dream phone may have been to figure out which '90s hunk had a crush on you (he's not at the beach!), but the real takeaway was that cordless phones were the future.

Not only was Gak the '90's answer to silly putty, it was also the sound our moms made when they found the stuff smooshed in the bottom of our backpacks.

Heaven help the sibling who ripped the tag off one of our Beanie Babies. BTW, we're still waiting for the big payout from our collection—weren't these the ticket to an early retirement?

All hail the mighty Bop-It, which got '90s kids to obey its commands with just a bit of music and fast-talking.

The Creepy Crawler Bugmaker was like the Easy Bake Oven's cousin and the darling of future entomologists everywhere.

Long before we argued about which Hogwarts house we'd be sorted into, '90s kids were drawn to particular American Girl Dolls. And you definitely had at least one friend who was such a Samantha.

Putting aside the name—because plenty of '90s girls loved Game Boy, thankyouverymuch—this toy prepared us all for the infinite handheld game source that is the iPhone.

If you were a '90s kid with a Sky Dancer, there's a 90% chance that at some point you got a face full of flying fairy. But wasn't the collision risk worth it?

It's morphin' time! If you spent every Saturday morning of the '90s watching the Mighty Morphin Power Rangers, then owning the action figures was pretty much a requirement.

It was a simpler time when the Koosh Ball reigned supreme. It didn't have any bells, whistles, or batteries, but it did offer the opportunity to toss a rubber projectile at a sibling's face.

The Polly Pocket of the '90s was just the right mix of fun and choking hazard. But if you lost Polly, her pocket universe was pretty much worthless. And, heads up! Polly is making a comeback this summer.

If you had a water gun fight in the '90s and you weren't armed with a Super Soaker, did the fight even happen?

Furby was a sort of hamster-gremlin-owl hybrid that spouted gibberish and demanded attention. It was delightfully creepy and has even made a comeback in recent years.

You never knew how many puppies your mama dog was going to have, but the bigger surprise was learning that babies come from velcro-sealed stomachs. It was a blind bag before that was even a thing.

Sock 'em Boppers—the '90s in a nutshell. Kids were encouraged to beat each other up with inflatable boxing gloves that were marketed as "more fun than a pillow fight."

Yo, I'll tell you what '90s kids wanted, what they really really wanted: all the Spice Girls merch, including the doll of their favorite band member.

Any '90s kid who watched Home Alone (so, like, every '90s kid) had to have a Talkboy. How else were we supposed to defend ourselves from bumbling robbers?

R.I.P. all the Tamagotchis that were neglected by '90s kids. You may not have been real pets, but there were real digital consequences if we ignored your beep demands. And here's the good news: they recently made a major comeback

How many '90s toys can say they inspired hugs and stampedes? Tickle Me Elmo was the O.G. must-have holiday gift and the craze was very real.

Hulu is giving parents another reason to choose its services over its competitors. In an everlasting battle with Netflix and Amazon Prime, Hulu has announced another multi-year deal with Disney. In this new agreement, Hulu is gaining exclusive rights to stream classic Disney films such as Mulan, Pocohantas, and The Nightmare Before Christmas.

In total, over 50 titles will become available on Hulu in the months ahead. More titles include Hercules, Air Bud, Sister Act, Lilo & Stitch, Tarzan, The Mighty Ducks, The Princess and the Frog, and Muppet Treasure Island.

Hulu and the Disney-ABC Television Group began began their partnership in early 2016, after agreeing to distribute 500 episodes and more than 20 original movies from The Disney-ABC Television Group’s suite of networks to the Hulu Kids library. It’s the largest kids programming deal made between the two companies to date.

Just last week at the D23 Expo, a convention for Disney fans, Disney gave a sneak peek of Moana, their new Polynesian princess. If your Mouseketeer loved the island setting of Lilo and Stitch, they’ll love Moana’s animated story, which will bring them on a mythical boat ride. Listen to a snippet of one of the songs below!

The story is described as an adventure set 2000 years ago. Princess Moana is determined to sail across the Pacific Ocean and complete her “ancestor’s unfinished quest” to prove herself as a navigator. She travels with colorful company: her sidekicks Pua the pig and Hei Hei the rainbow-colored rooster, and a once-mighty demi-god named Maui (voiced by Dwayne Johnson). Sounds like Mulan meets The Little Mermaid, starring Brave’s Merida to us!

The same team who created Aladdin, The Little Mermaid and Princess and the Frog are set to direct the film. And the man behind many songs in The Lion King and Tarzan will be arranging the tunes. Sounds like an awesome animated musical to us!

Moana is due to hit the big screens next year, Nov. 23, 2016. Will you be there opening day?

If your kid is begging for a popsicle at every meal, skip the sugar-laden, plastic wrapped kind and head to Pleasant Pops newest downtown brick and mortar for a fresh, homemade treat. Many of the pops come with veggies blended in, so technically it could be dinner. Sssshhhh!
Just for Petite Palates
Made with mostly local produce and dairy from farmers’s markets, Pleasant Pops are good and good for you. First timers can stick with kid faves like Strawberry Ginger Lemonade, Cookies & Cream, and the Guac Pop (which is made with avocado and lime).
Pops Plus
Not in the mood for a popsicle? The small cafe also serves up a mighty menu full of coffee from Ceremony Coffee Roasters, fresh baked pastries (croissants!!) every morning from BakeHouse, and other treats from local D.C. producers.
Stay for a While
Located on the ground floor of The Woodward Building, there is wheelchair/stroller access into the cafe where there are four small tables and seating for up to eight guests. Outside, there are two big picnic tables with umbrellas that could easily fit a small crowd or family. Can you say, “family date night”? There’s also some fun “pop art” to pose for pics with. #yummy

Some things are just cool—alfresco dining, live music, adventurous chefs and James Franco. Luckily for us, we can find all of these things at the Atlanta Food Truck Park and Market (except Franco, unless he’s in town filming a movie, in which case we just know he’d hang out here). And, we can take our kids! Here’s what you should know before you go with your little ones in tow.

The Dish
The line up changes daily, but you can count on anywhere from six to ten food trucks on any given day except Mondays, when the park is closed. Go to their Facebook page daily to find out who’s serving up lunch and dinner, or follow them on Twitter. The lineup changes, but the most likely trucks to be found at the AFTPM on any given day include: Masala Fresh, Mighty Meatballs, Dogs on Wheels, Yum Yum Cupcakes, The Filipino, Atlanta Burger Truck, Tex’s Taco, and Chay J’s.

Run, don’t walk, to the Masala Fresh truck to try the chicken pita. Your toddlers will love it with the tangy tamarin sauce, made with raisins, dates, and brown sugar. It’s good enough to wake the baby up from her nap early just to beat the crowd. Other kiddo crowd-pleasers to consider are the collard green quesadillas at the Blaxican, the chicken parmesan meatball sliders at Mighty Meatballs, f.i.a.h.’s macaroni hot dog and the sweet plantains at Yoli’s.

The Deal
On Saturdays and Sundays, the food trucks share the stage with The Market at Howell Mill, a dynamic roundup of farm fresh, local, gourmet, and artisanal products from around north Georgia. Let your little ones peruse the offerings of handmade pound cakes, soap, meat, and produce as their King of Pops drips it’s way to their elbows.

You’ll find live music from various crowd-pleasing performers on the stage near the picnic tables most weekends during the summer, Cornhole game boards (a beanbag toss game, for the uninitiated), and a green space which is home to a small but satisfactory swing set, picnic tables, and bocce ball court. Bring your own cooler, chairs, and picnic blanket to make the most of the grassy area behind the stage, and you’ll get the music without the crowd. Be sure to check the website to find out if any events are planned for when you’re going.

The Dirt
So we’re cool, but we’re still moms. The down side of an afternoon or evening spent at the AFTPM is that there is no good solution for washing hands and going to the potty when you’re basically having a picnic with the city. Yes, there is a port a potty, and yes, there is a mobile hand washing station, but neither are really up to snuff. Don’t panic, just be sure the kids take care of business before you head to the park, take hand sanitizer, and make sure you’ve got wipes. Worst case scenario? You can walk next door to the gas station, buy a bottle of water, and use their restrooms.

The Details
Atlanta Food Truck Park, located at the intersection of I-75 and Howell Mill (1850 Howell Mill Road, Atlanta, Ga), Tuesday-Wednesday 11:00 a.m. – 3:00 p.m., Thursday-Saturday 11:00 a.m.-9:00 p.m., Sundays 12:00 p.m.-7:00 p.m., Most trucks accept cash only, The Market at Howell Mill, located adjacent to the food trucks inside the park, Saturdays 3:00 p.m.-8:00 p.m., Sundays 11:00 a.m.-4:00 p.m., Parking is free and is best accessed from Emery Street (turn left on Beck Street between Willy’s and the Shell station).
