William (Youngblood) – A quick-witted pilot fish with a flair for the funny, William is always down for jaw-some adventures with his best bud Baby.

Mommy (Rothwell) – Fun-loving with a fierce streak, Mommy Shark works for the Mayor of Carnivore Cove.

Daddy (Edelstein) – A worrier who can’t help his loud and goofy nature, Daddy Shark is a dentist who flosses when he’s nervous.

Grandma (Wilson) – A new-agey prankster who’s all about good vibes and bubbleberry pies.

Grandpa (Warburton) – A charismatic shark who loves to tell stories about the glory days.

Baby Shark's Big Show!

In Baby Shark’s Big Fishmas Special, the season’s hottest toy, Burpin’ Bubbz, is at the top of Baby and William’s Fishmas wish lists, and when Santa Jaws goes missing, it’s up to them to save the holiday. Big Changes Are Coming to Walt Disney World: Here’s What You Need to Know

Editor’s Note: Since publication Nickelodeon has released the following statement, “Made by Maddie is a show we acquired several years ago from Silvergate Media, a renowned production company we have previously worked with on other series. Since announcing the show’s premiere date this week, we have been listening closely to the commentary, criticism and concern coming from both viewers and members of the creative community.  In response, and out of respect to all voices in the conversation, we are removing the show from our schedule as we garner further insight into the creative journey of the show. We are grateful to Silvergate Media for all of their work. And we hold Matthew A. Cherry and the wonderful and inspiring Hair Love in the highest regard.”

Preschoolers and families will fall in love with a new Nick Jr. show. The new animated series centers on Maddie, her close-knit, supportive family, her creative ways of looking at the world and her serious flair for fashion.Made by Maddie launches Sun. Sept. 13 at 11 a.m. ET/PT.

Made by Maddie

Both Maddie (Alyssa Cheatham, Collateral Beauty) and her mom, Dee (Tony-winner Patina Miller, Madam Secretary, The Hunger Games), a successful fashion designer, provide strong female role models for young viewers. Maddie’s musician dad, Rashad, is played by the Tony-winning James Monroe Iglehart (Aladdin, Hamilton). The inclusive series features diverse characters organically woven into the fabric of the show to help a broad range of young viewers see themselves represented on-screen.

Made by Maddie

Made by Maddie follows 8-year-old Maddie in New York City, as she uses her imagination and design ingenuity to turn every problem into a positive with the perfect fashion fix. Maddie’s creative thinking and dazzling designs are a reflection of  the bustling, colorful city of New York and its residents. Maddie confidently embraces her own unique style, celebrates individuality, treats everyone with kindness, and encourages others to take risks and be themselves.

Made by Maddie

Once she finally gets the shoes unstuck, she has to come up with a redesign to save the day. Then, Maddie, Dee, and her assistant Dustin design an outfit for DJ Fierce, a famous DJ. They scour the city for the perfect materials, but when a misunderstanding leads to an outfit mix-up, Maddie will have to get creative with a fashion fix.

Dax Shepard Welcomes Parents to the “PAW Patrol Years”

A “PAW Patrol” Movie Is in the Works for Summer 2021

Why Nickelodeon’s “PAW Patrol” Is Your Preschooler’s Favorite Show

Do your kids watch PAW Patrol? Any parent of a preschooler can tell you that there is time when their kid has become totally obsessed with something, more often than not, a popular television show like PAW patrol. Keira Knightley called it ‘toddler crack’ and Ryan Reynolds threatened to sell his kids after an 11 episode binge.

Armed with the knowledge that preschoolers are totally PAW-obsessed, and parents are along for the ride whether they like it or not, Spin Master, the creators of PAW Patrol, enlisted the help of honorary PAW Patrol club member Dax Shepard to welcome parents to The PAW Patrol Years.  Currently in the thick of it with two children in The PAW Patrol Years, Dax is hopeful it is just a phase. PAW Patrol, as he describes it, is a show about ‘an emancipated minor who hangs out with some talking dogs and together they put out fires, rescue chickens and do other cool stuff’.

Filmed while under quarantine and shot entirely on an iPhone in Dax’s home with Spin Master’s creative team joining virtually, he shares a series of hilarious warnings, tongue in cheek references, sage advice and product reviews in 15, 60 and 90 second clips for a fall targeted social campaign.

PAW Patrol

Created by Spin Master Entertainment and airing on Nickelodeon, PAW Patrol, is currently in its 7th season. The powerhouse franchise is heading to the big screen with an animated feature film slated for theatres in August 2021 (a Spin Master Entertainment production in association with Nickelodeon Movies, distributed by Paramount Pictures).

Baby Shark Is Coming to Nickelodeon

Kristen Bell Hosts Nickelodeon Coronavirus Special for Kids

School’s back and kids are transitioning from a long summer of spare time to an unusual new school year. Getting my kid back in full swing—an alternating school schedule, new teachers and homework—has been far from easy. But when it comes to books, having a reading routine built a productive reader who no longer complains when it’s time to read.

If you have trouble getting your child to open up a book, here are five ways to help your child start reading each day.

1. Find the Right Book. There’s evidence that proves reading books has many benefits, so choosing the right one is important. One of the best ways to get kids reading is by finding out what type of stories they’re interested in. A great way of finding this out is by what they watch on TV.

Many kid shows and movies, like Nickelodeon and Disney, have collections of books written before the movie came out. Your child may love comparing it to the show and read the next book in the series. You can also get a book in a genre that relates to what your child watches.

If you’re a family who doesn’t watch TV much, visit the library and grab a book in each genre to find out what your child likes best. Some examples are realistic fiction, fantasy, science fiction, adventure and mystery. Your child’s teacher can also suggest interesting books that are based on your child’s reading level.

2. Set a Schedule. Make it a habit every day at the same time to have your child read. A daily schedule helps create structure and guides your child to slowly take the initiative to start reading independently without you telling them to.

Figure out the best time of day your child will do the best reading. Is it after breakfast, before homework or right before bed? To find out, do a test run for a week by having your child read for 20 minutes a day at different times.

Make sure to pay attention and take note of your child’s mood, how well your child does when stopping an activity to read and how attentive your child is while reading.

3. Find the Best Place for Reading. The right environment can set-up the mood to make it comfortable to read. Some areas around the home can be at a desk, on the couch, chair, floor or bed. Reading outside can also be an excellent spot.

Depending on the child, reading in different areas around the home may help your child continue to read every day without getting bored. The library and coffee shops may also be great places for storytime.

Music or sound while reading can be soothing for some kids. Try some vocal-free tunes or white noise to see if this helps your child stay engaged.

4. Read with Them. You are your child’s best example. Show them you also enjoy a good story by reading with them.

You can both read silently or enjoy the same book together by taking turns reading aloud to each other. Afterward, talk about the characters and what each of you finds exciting in the story.

5. Reward and Praise Them. There are many ways to congratulate your kids on the amount of reading they accomplished. Rewarding them with something they love may keep them motivated.

Your praise can encourage them to continue reading. Take your child toy shopping for doing a great job. Give extra time on their phone or video game. Take away one of their chores for a day. Have them choose what type of reward they want.

Getting your child reading everyday may take some time and patience, but by putting these five things into practice, your child will be on their way to an enjoyable love of reading.
