If you’ve ever wondered how to sneak a snack into your mid-morning meeting, a nine-year-old girl from Missouri has an answer. Mom, St. Louis Post-Dispatch reporter Valerie Schremp Hahn, shared the idea on Twitter in which her daugther used an empty lip balm tube container to bring cheddar cheese into school.

Schremp Hahn posted a pic of the cheesy tube on Twitter, adding, “My 9-year-old daughter has taken an old lip balm tube and filled it with cheese so she can eat it in class.”

So how did the nine-year-old come up with such a creative idea? The fourth-grader told BuzzFeed, “I was just looking on YouTube because I was bored and I found this video and I decided to do it.” She added, “I just took some of my dad’s cheese, sliced it up, and put it in the chapstick container.”

After filling the emptied and cleaned tubes with sharp cheddar from Aldi, the nine-year-old brought the snack in to sneak as a mid-testing treat. She added, “You can lick it and no one will know.” Genius!

If you’re looking for more ways to sneak a snack, check out the nine-year-old’s inspiration—Troom Troom’s YouTube video.

There’s some seriously furry favoritism going on in Paw Patrol. Data reporter and dad, Christopher Ingraham, recently analyzed the number of times Ryder assigns rescue duties and the results probably aren’t what you’d expect.

For a show that’s all about teamwork, Paw Patrol is heavily relying on one pup’s presence. As it turns out, based on Ingraham’s stats Chase has 61 deployments in seasons four through six. While that might not seem like a lot, Zuma only had 16!

Ingraham tweeted his findings (complete with a graph of the data), getting plenty of responses from Zuma fans who were equally outraged at the deployment disparity. In a response to his initial post, Ingraham added, “Imagine having six dogs, and taking one of them on walkies four times as often as another one. What kind of example is this setting for our children?”

Of course, Zuma wasn’t the only pup missing out on the glory of rescue assignments. According to Ingraham’s chart, Sky had the second most deployments at 48, Rocky had 39, Rubble had 26 and Marshall had 25.

Even though the division of deployments isn’t exactly equal, we’re pretty sure this data will in no way impact your child’s overwhelming desire to watch Paw Patrol over and over and over again.

News has been swirling about the cast of the new live-action The Little Mermaid which is in the works, and now fans can officially get a first look at the new Ariel.

Disney has revealed that R&B singer Halle Bailey of Chloe x Halle will be joining the cast of The Little Mermaid as the golden-voiced mermaid turned human. “After an extensive search, it was abundantly clear that Halle possesses that rare combination of spirit, heart, youth, innocence, and substance—plus a glorious singing voice—all intrinsic qualities necessary to play this iconic role,” the film’s director Rob Marshall said in a statement.

Bailey joins the growing cast, which already includes Jacob Tremblay and Awkwafina. Melissa McCarthy is also reportedly in talks to play the role of Ursula. This will be the first feature film role for Bailey who also stars in the Freeform series Grown-ish.

The new live action reboot will feature songs from the original animated film as well as new songs composed by Alan Menken and Hamilton sensation Lin-Manuel Miranda, who is no stranger to Disney having written Oscar-nominated songs for Moana and Mary Poppins Returns.

The First Trailer for Pixar’s “Onward” Has Arrived

This weekend marks the release of Pixar’s Toy Story 4, but you won’t have to wait much longer for a new film from this powerhouse. Pixar has just revealed that it will release the new film Soul in 2020.

The details of Pixar’s Soul are under wraps, but Disney released a statement describing the story as follows, “Ever wonder where your passion, your dreams and your interest come from? What is it that makes you… YOU? In 2020, Pixar Animation Studios takes you on a journey from the streets of New York City to the cosmic realms to discover the answers to life’s most important questions.”

If the premise reminds you a little of another Pixar movie, Inside Out, it’s not all that surprising considering that both films are directed by Pixar vet Pete Doctor.

The movie isn’t the only Pixar film releasing next year. Despite generally releasing one film per year, the studio already announced another new movie, Onward, starring Chris Pratt and Tom Holland, which will hit theaters on Mar. 6, 2020.

Soul will debut in theaters just four months later on Jun. 19, 2020.

Shakespeare’s star-crossed lovers have been adapted for the big and small screen multiple times, but never quite like this. Netflix has just announced a new hip hop musical Romeo and Juliet produced by Will Smith and Queen Latifah.

The new film won’t be the first time this timeless tale has been reimagined with music. If you grew up in the ‘90s, chances are Baz Luhrmann’s Romeo + Juliet was one of your favorite movies. The new Netflix movie will bring a contemporary twist to the story along with some new tunes.

According to the Hollywood Reporter the new film, which is a collaboration between Smith and Latifah, will follow “a young waitress from the streets of Brooklyn and an aspiring musician from a wealthy family whose unconventional romance forces them to confront their life choices.”

The new musical mash-up will he directed by rapper Slovan “Slick” Naim, who also worked on Netflix’s Get Down with Baz Luhrmann. No word yet on who will be starring or when the film will premiere on Netflix.

The classic fairy tale is getting an all-new twist! Reports of a reimagined Cinderella surfaced earlier this month and it looks like the stepsister-spiked story is turning into a can’t-miss event.

Even though there’s no word yet on whether the latest version of the iconic tale will follow the traditional Cinderella narrative we’ve come to know and love, the idea for the new take comes straight from the mind of late-night talk show host James Corden. If the rumors are correct, expect to see the same orphaned girl versus evil stepmother dynamic—but in an entirely new way.

What else do we know about the soon-to-be film? The big-screen story will star singer Camila Cabello in the title role. Beyond starring as Cinderella herself, Cabello is likely to have a heavy hand in the in the film’s soundtrack. While there are no other celebs tied to the flick yet, Pitch Perfect writer Kay Cannon is set to helm the musical remake.

As of now there is no release date for the new take on Cinderella. But reportedly Sony (the company behind the film) will fast-track production. We’ll keep you posted as we learn more deets!
