In collaboration with Pure Leaf, actress, comedian and mom Amy Poehler has released a hilarious batch of rewritten fairy tales in the new Once Upon a No series. The short films take a new approach to the classic tales, showing what would happen if our beloved heroines said “no.”

While the stories are humorous in nature, they further the power of “no,” while also sharing Pure Leaf’s message that “no is beautiful.”

Catch up on the new version of The Princess and the Pea, where the moral of the story is “you don’t always have to be agreeable, and I agree with that.”

In the reimagined Rapunzel story, enjoy the moral of “do what’s best for you, and not what others are expecting.”

Enjoy Poehler’s telling of Hansel and Gretel, where the moral of the story is, “Don’t rush through life. Stop, and talk to the squirrels along the way. They’re fascinating characters and they love tea!”

We can’t help but love Poehler’s message that if people said “no” more often and to things that don’t make them them happy, we’d all have more time to say “yes” to things do.

There’s nothing like being a parent to test your ingenuity. When father of four Mike Weber got home from a 12-hour shift as an OR nurse, he found his wife struggling to get the kids out the door. Monica, his wife, said, “I needed some groceries but it was snowy outside and he insisted I go without the kids to make it easier.”

Mike was obviously exhausted, so he came up with a genius way to keep his kids occupied long enough for him to rest his eyes for a few minutes. Handing each of his kids paper and art supplies, he instructed them to sketch his portrait while he lay down on the couch.

Viral Dad Hack

“I’m pretty sure he’s the most brilliant man I’ve ever known,” Weber wrote in the now viral post. “He has them doing ‘realism art’ while he “poses” AKA naps. The winner gets a chocolate, but let’s be honest; he is the one winning.”

The Weber family was really surprised that the post became as popular as it is. Weber said, “It’s been really humbling to see all the parents out there relating to his hack and the need to balance life, work, kids and all the many other hats parents balance.”

Weber Family

Weber shares that her husband has plenty of other parenting hacks up his sleeve. He likes to turn chores and homework into a fun game for his children, offering up rewards of candy or the right to choose the movie on family movie night. She said, “We have just as many days where the house is a mess and all the kids are at one another’s throats, so when I saw them all sitting happily and cooperative I just had to snap a picture to remind myself on the tough days that there are these awesome days that we make beautiful memories too!”

Gibberish Baby

Comedian and new mama Amy Schumer recently got real about her pregnancy and c-section delivery. While on an episode of the Informed Pregnancy and Parenting Podcast, the actress opened up about hyperemesis gravidarum, having a c-section and endometriosis.

After a pregnancy filled with more than just morning sickness (hyperemesis gravidarum), the vomiting didn’t end at labor. According to Schumer, she threw up for the first hour of her c-section.

The actress revealed, “I was throwing up through the first hour of my c-section. It’s supposed to take about an hour and a half—mine took over three hours because of my endometriosis.” She went on to add, “And that was really scary.”

Even though Schumer initially planned to deliver in a birthing center with the assistance of a doula, the actress eventually realized a hospital birth was in the cards. “It was a rainy Sunday and I woke up vomiting and was like the sickest I’d been the whole time,” she said of the big day. “And I was like, ‘I can’t do this anymore.’ I was so big and I was so miserable and couldn’t keep anything down.”

Schumer also shared the pivotal role her husband, Chris Fischer, played in the birth saying, “It was kind of brutal,” she said. “… But Chris was so great—we just stared in each other’s eyes and he just held me there. Then they let me hold Gene for a good amount of time. I got to see him and hold him.”

Taylor Calmus, a.k.a. Dude Dad, is back at it again. The comedian dad’s newest video “My wife Every Christmas” is so right on “Target” you’ll laugh from the moment you watch it until Santa’s big day!

Calmus describes the video as, “Just a compilation of all the things my wife does and says every single Christmas as acted out by me, her husband,” and adds, “Love you babe!”—to his wife Heidi.

The clip starts out with Dude Dad, dressed as Heidi, waving buh-bye to her Thanksgiving guests and immediately heading towards a twinkle-light filled Christmas. After hanging a wreath, DudeDad/mom asks her hubby to fetch a seemingly endless stream of holiday decor picks from the attic. Of course, everything isn’t in the attic. Some, or maybe most of, what dude-mom needs is still at Target—and you totally understand.

If your holiday hectic level is currently set on high, and you need a well-deserved break, ask grandma to watch the kiddos, lock yourself in the bathroom and enjoy the three-plus minutes it takes to watch this cutely comedic clip!

15 Hilarious Tweets That Capture the Truth about Holidays with the Kids

The most iconic classic song of childhood just got a twist—or at least it did several years ago. Even though Dream English released a not-what-you-remember version of the ABC song in 2012, a recent tweet has ignited an all new social media-spurred controversy.

So why is a children’s song suddenly such a hot button subject? As anyone who has ever sung the song knows, the “LMNOP” part is quick and pushed together. That is, in every version except for Dream English’s video. Instead, the “L-M-N-O-P” portion is spread out—throwing off the entire song.

Comedian Noah Garfinkel recently noticed this not so welcome change, tweeting the clip along with, “They changed the ABC song to clarify the LMNOP part, and it is life ruining.”

Apparently Garfinkel isn’t the only one to feel a serious sense of disappointment. Plenty of others chimed in, tweeting about just how wrong the change was.

Of course, there were some tweets defending an alternate version of the classic—but not Dream English’s.
