Isabelle & Tom Nook Have Returned to the Build-A-Bear Animal Crossing Collab

Unsurprisingly, the Build-A-Bear and Animal Crossing collection was beyond popular when it launched earlier this month. Now the collab is returning to the workshop with fan faves Isabelle and Tom Nook!

To snag these beary special characters, head to buildabear.com at 9:30 a.m. CST on Tues. Apr. 27 to enter the virtual pre-waiting room for a chance to purchase the collection. You’ll want to make sure you enter before 10 a.m. to be assigned a random spot in the line

When your turn comes up, you’ll be given access to purchase from the Animal Crossing Collection! As long as you join the pre-waiting room before 10:00 a.m. CST you will be randomly assigned a spot in line. If you join after, you will file in at the end of the existing line. If you are selected, you will have a limited amount of time to make your purchase, so make sure your sound and notifications are on.

If you don’t end up making the cut, all is not lost. The Animal Crossing: New Horizons collection arrive in Workshops this summer.

A Prequel to “Soul” Is Coming to Disney+ & It Answers Some Important Questions

Disney recently announced the upcoming release of a brand-new short from Pixar Animation. Based on Tina Fey’s sarcastically witty soul 22 from the 2020 animated hit flick Soul, the short explores the meaning of life and more!

The prequel to Soul, titled 22 vs. Earth, tells the tale of soul 22 and her attempt at a rebellion in The Great Before. Instead of entering Earth, 22 has other things in mind—namely staying exactly where she is.

Not only does 22 refuse to go to Earth, she teams up with five other new souls to rebel against the rules. 22 vs. Earth director and 21-year Pixar veteran, Kevin Nolting, said in a press release, “While making ‘Soul,’ we talked about the why of a new soul not wanting to live on Earth, but it didn’t ultimately belong in that movie.”

Nolting added, “22 vs. Earth was a chance to explore some of the unanswered questions we had about why 22 was so cynical. As a fairly cynical person myself, it felt like perfect material.”

22 vs. Earth will stream on Disney+ starting Apr. 30!

On Apr. 15, the brand is asking fans to become the ultimate detective and solve the new SOUR PATCH KIDS flavor. Did we mention there’s also a chance to win $50,000?

So how does it work? First, purchase the new Mystery flavor packs at retailers nationwide to get a taste. Then, head to Mystery.SourPatchKids.com submit your guess and enter for a chance to win $50,000 and other instant prizes.

Fan will need to keep an eye out on those crazy KIDS, who will be dropping clues of the mystery flavor on SOUR PATCH KIDS packaging, social media channels and in-store displays. In addition, the Mystery Kid will take over the SOUR PATCH KIDS social media channels and reveal new clues every week from Apr. 15 through July.

In August, one winner will win the $50,000 grand prize when SOUR PATCH KIDS reveals the mystery flavor.

LinkedIn Expands Job Titles to Include Caretakers & Parents Rejoice

You spent years away from the work-outside-the-home employment market—but that doesn’t mean you lazed on a chaise and ate cookies all day. Instead, you became the CEO of your household, organizing schedules, orchestrating all-day adventures and so, so, so, so much more.

Now, LinkedIn is acknowledging all the major skills you amped up while at home. The online networking platform just added new job titles—and now you can include stay-at-home mom in your online resume.

In the new job title upgrade last week, the professional social networking site added caretaker titles that include homemaker, stay-at-home mom, stay-at-home dad and stay-at-home parent. The changes will hopefully de-stigmatize time spent at home for a variety of reasons as parents seek to re-enter the workforce.

While the caretaker job title addition is a major upgrade to note, it isn’t the change LinkedIn recently made. The site also introduced an optional field at the top of user profile page to add your own preferred gender pronouns. Along with the new titles, LinkedIn also ditched the requirement to link all resume job titles to employers.

The Hot Wheels Legends Tour Is Racing Into 2021

The Hot Wheels Legends Tour is back! Now in its fourth year, the 2021 tour will kick off with virtual events and eventually expand into in-person awesomeness.

Presented by Mobil 1, the Hot Wheel Legends Tour is open for fan submissions. This means fans will get their chance to enter their cool cars to become the next 1:64 die-cast toy model.

Ted Wu, Global Head of Hot Wheels Design at Mattel, said in a press release, “Finding time to build isn’t always easy, but with many spending more time at home in the garage over the past year, we expect to see so many more passion-project submissions for the 2021 Hot Wheels Legends Tour.”

The 2021 tour will include regional winners and a Mobil 1 Fan Favorite. These cars are entered into the semi-finals—with 10 finalists chosen. Hot Wheels will reveal the champion in November at the tour’s grand finale event.

Events will span the globe, with live and virtual tour stops starting this spring in New Zealand (Apr. 15), Australia (Apr. 22) and the United States and Canada (Apr. 29). Visit the Hot Wheels Legends Tour website for more information.
