Did you know National Cereal Day is Mar. 7? In honor of the festive day, Post is releasing a truly new cereal experience: Magic Fruity Pebbles!

So what makes this cereal so special? If you notice, the pebbles are quite pink. But once you pour your milk on them, the milk turns blue!

It’s totally normal for milk to turn colors when you add to cereal––that’s one of the best parts about indulging in a big bowl. What’s totally unique about Magic Fruity Pebbles is that the milk turns an entirely different color than the cereal itself!

The pink pebbles taste just like the regular cereal you already know and love. The limited-edition cereal is available now and only til supplies last through April.

It’s always tempting to indulge in a bite of cookie dough, but for safety reasons it’s not a good idea. Thankfully Nestlé Tollhouse has created edible cookie dough.

The new Funfetti Edible Cookie Dough and Edible Fudge Brownie Batter are designed to taste exactly like the same batter your kids wish they could eat by the spoonful, minus the dangerous ingredients, like raw eggs. Which of course, means you can’t actually bake this dough––it’s made just for eating as it is.

“We wanted to expand our edible cookie dough offerings to make it even easier to enjoy your favorite dessert right out of the container,” said Samantha Set, Associate Brand Manager, NESTLÉ TOLL HOUSE. “This expanded collection of Edible cookie doughs provide even more ways to create fun, lasting memories while snacking on your favorite treats – no baking needed!”

Both new flavors of edible cookie dough will be available in stores nationwide, like Walmart, ShopRite, Hy-Vee and Meijer starting at the end of Jan. 2020. You can find them in the refrigerated section next to the regular cookie dough with a suggested price of $5.39 for a 15 oz. tub.

IKEA’s Swedish meatballs are a staple of the retailer’s in-store menu, but if you’re a vegetarian or vegan, forget about indulging in the tasty treat—at least until 2020. The build-it-yourself-with-a-hex-wrench fab furniture store recently announced it’s developing a plant-based protein alternative option.

Even though IKEA already serves up veggie balls as a meat-free option, the in-development version will look and taste like meat. Think Impossible Burger in a Swedish meatball form.

Not only are the new in-the-works meatless meatballs perfect for vegetarians, but the plant-based protein is also a sustainable food choice that’s good for the planet too! Michael La Cour Managing Director at IKEA Food Services AB, said in a press statement, “We see a growing demand from our customers to have access to more sustainable food options and we want to meet that need. Our ambition is to make healthier and more sustainable eating easy, desirable and affordable, without compromising on taste and texture.”

So when will IKEA make the plant-based protein meatballs available to the public? According to the retailer, the company will start testing the product early next year. But if you’re all in for a Swedish meal, and need something to dip into your lingonberry sauce, you can always try the veggie balls and dogs.

As a parent you’ve probably encouraged your kids to finish up a meal in order to earn a sweet treat, but if you really want to eat healthier you might want to have your dessert first. New research suggests why dessert might be good for you and, more importantly, why you should eat it before dinner instead of after.

A new study published in the Journal of Experimental Psychology: Applied found that indulging in dessert before a meal could actually lead to healthier eating overall. The study followed 134 university faculty, staff and graduate students who were eating lunch in the cafeteria. Each participant was offered four different dessert options over four days: a healthy choice (fresh fruit) offered in the dining display before the main and side dish options, an indulgent choice (lemon cheesecake) offered before the main dishes, fruit displayed after the main meal selections or cheesecake after the main meal.

Nearly 70 percent of the participants who chose the cheesecake went on to choose a healthier main dish, like chicken fajitas and a side salad, instead of fried fish and French fries. Only a third of the people who selected the fruit first went on to choose a healthy main dish. Overall the people who selected the cheesecake consumed 250 fewer calories than those who picked the fruit. The results remained similar when the experiment was repeated in an off-campus online setting as well.

“If we choose something healthy first, then this gives us a license to choose something bigger later,” says Martin Reimann, an assistant professor of marketing and cognitive science at the University of Arizona and co-author of the study. “If you turn it around and choose something heavier early on, then this license is already expired.”

In other words, if you want to indulge without sacrificing your health, timing is everything.

She’s an organizer extraordinaire, creator of the KonMari Method, Netflix star—and a mother of two. So what sparks joy for the reigning queen of tidying up? Not so surprisingly, Marie Kondo’s kids are at the top of her list.

With Kondo’s hit new Netflix show that has America in a frenzy of “tidying up,” Kondo is doing more than just changing indoor aesthetics—she’s also changing lives. Her organizational method focuses on holding onto those things that “spark joy.”

Of course, Kondo doesn’t just talk the talk. The organizational guru totally walks the walk, too. During an interview with Hello Giggles, Kondo shared that her joy-sparking items include a crystal in her bedroom, an earthen rice-cooking pot and an antique writing desk.

But it’s not just about things and possessions; Kondo shared what activities spark the most joy for her and her fam. Kondo told Hello Giggles, “After tidying up from the day, I do yoga with my children in the evening to wind down. I also invest in nice, organic cotton pajamas, indulge frequently in linens, and have an air purification ritual I perform every evening.”

From chocolate kisses to candy hearts, everyone has a favorite sweet treat that they like to indulge in for Valentine’s Day—but one particular treat has held the crown as top choice…until now. This year, you won’t be able to score America’s most popular Valentine’s Day candy anywhere.

It has always been a neck-and-neck race between candy conversation hearts and that traditional heart-shaped box of chocolates when it comes to most popular Valentine’s Day candy. In 2017, those candy hearts finally edged out the competition taking the number one spot and held on to it for the following year. But for 2019, things are not looking so good for those colorful, chatty little hearts.

The CandyStore.com blog predicts that sales of candy conversation hearts will drop by 80 percent this year. That’s because the maker of the original candy conversation Sweethearts, NECCO—that had been in operation for for over 100 years—suddenly went out of business last year. While there are several alternatives on the market, CandyStore.com estimates that Sweethearts brand accounted for more than 80 percent of the candies sold.

So what could replace all those missing candy hearts? Valentine’s themed Cupid’s Message M&Ms were on the rise last year and could easily win over those looking for something sweet with a message. And hopefully, this year will be the only year without our beloved SweetHearts. According to Spangler Candy, the new owners of SweetHearts and NECCO Wafers, those little hearts could be back on shelves in 2020, in time for those sweet Valentine’s Day exchanges.
