If your little one is a budding paleontologist, you probably have a bunch of toy dinosaurs hanging around in your playroom. One dad from the UK took his son’s love of dinos to the next level. When purchasing a dinosaur sculpture for his 4-year-old, Andre Bisson found out his gift was larger than life.

Bisson’s son, Theo, really loves dinosaurs, especially Carnotaurs. When Bisson saw a local amusement park was getting rid of their dinosaur sculptures, he decided to surprise Theo with his very own pet dino.

Dino Dad

Bisson shares that his son had a rough start in life. “24 hours after he was born Theo was rushed to hospital, if that had been 36 hours, he wouldn’t have made it. After three years, he is better, so I went to the extreme and bought him a pet dino.”

When the shipping company tried to load the dinosaur, now known as Chaz, onto the truck, Bisson realized it was twice the size originally expected.

When Chaz finally arrived at the house, he had to be lowered into the garden using a crane. He just fits in the garden measuring 20 feet long and 7’9” high.

When Theo saw his new friend, he ran over to him and pulled on his chain. He immediately wanted to feed him and make sure that he felt at home.

Chip & Joanna Gaines Announce Their New Project: A Hotel!

Disney has recently revealed many exciting new features coming to its theme parks across the globe, but for Marvel fans the most anticipated addition is sure to be the new Marvel-themed hotel coming to Disneyland Paris.

Just like the new Avengers Campus coming to Disney’s California Adventure in 2020, Disneyland Paris is set to open an Avengers Campus of its own. In addition to the first Disney ride-through attraction to feature Spider-Man and plenty of other superhero encounters, Disneyland Paris is also getting a brand new resort hotel, Disney’s Hotel New York – The Art of Marvel.

Disney Parks just rolled out the first glimpses of this unique hotel experience, which will be a little bit like spending the night in an art museum. Dedicated to celebrating 80 years of Marvel art and artists, the hotel will display over 300 incredible works of art including comic book covers, posters, illustrations from films, storyboards, original sketches and more.

The guest rooms will include one-of-a-kind themed suites featuring favorite Super Heroes like Spider-Man. Guests will be able to interact with Marvel heroes at a special space called Super Hero Station. Another incredible amenity will be the Marvel Design Studio where budding young artists can learn to draw their favorite Marvel characters.

Disney’s Hotel New York – The Art of Marvel, which pays homage to the city where many of the Marvel heroes hail from, will also feature two restaurants, two bars and a pool. The hotel will begin taking reservations Nov. 5, 2019.

Moana Is Getting Her Own Disney World Attraction & You’re Welcome

No parent has ever said that they wished their child brought home more art projects from school. And the struggle on how to contain and control it is real because outside of saving a few sentimental pieces—what do you do with all of it? The name of the game is to try and set-up systems for your little budding Picasso now so you can manage the flow and they can be part of the process. If this sounds all too familiar, read on for a few tips on how to handle it all.

Create a Space: Set aside a landing zone/display area for art to live. This can be a string with some clips that hold up the pieces, a shelf in a closet or in the den or even a bulletin board but give them a dedicated space to put it all once it comes into the house. This will help you set boundaries on how much comes in and what can stay because once that space is full or the clips are all used decisions about what stays and what goes need to be made.

Make the Hard Decisions: Decisions can be hard—for you and your kids—so we recommend taking a photo of the sculpture, drawing or painting with your child to help them let go of the physical piece. The process of taking the photo can help with the separation and it gives you something visual to review should you want to look at it later.

Capturing the Memories: If you want to preserve the art in the long term, consider making a book with your own photos or using the original art itself through a service like PlumPrints or ArtKive. These commemorative books are a fun way to remember that ages and stages of childhood.

Keep the Keepers: Label the pieces that you decide to keep with the year it was created and place it in a large portfolio like this one for paper art or plastic bin for larger, sculptural pieces. Depending on the volume of art that you decide to archive, you can dedicate a portfolio to just one year or a group of years as follows: Pre-K, K – 4, 5-8, 9-12. But make sure that you do label the individual pieces because it will be a lot more fun to look back if you know what year it was created.  Here are a couple of portfolio storage options:

For those kids who love to question everything about the universe around them, there’s finally a show that will help answer all of their budding curiosity. Netflix’s new science show, Brainchild, is like Bill Nye the Science Guy for a new generation—and the whole family will love it.

From executive producer Pharrell—who is also behind the Netflix hit True and the Rainbow Kingdom—comes a new series that explains the science behind everything from outer space to social media. The show answers all of life’s most important questions like, “do fish pee” and “is the five-second rule real?” (You’ll have to watch to find out.)

Host Sahana Srinivasan, a real-life University of Texas Austin student and stand-up comic, takes kids on exciting and often hilarious journeys to discover all kinds of interesting scientific facts. Between the jokes, puppets, animation and IRL kids taking part in challenges, even the most reluctant of learners will find exploring science fun and exciting and yet there’s plenty for your STEM lovers to learn too. This is edutainment at its finest.

The fact that this groundbreaking series is hosted by a young woman of color is not lost on us, either. The hope is that a female at the forefront will encourage more girls to build interest in the STEM fields.

“In the STEM and STEAM fields, there’s a lack of representation of women, and we’re hoping that shows like this will inspire young women to go into science fields,” Srinivasan told The Daily Dot. “But also, people of color and Indian women, too. I’ve had people reach out to me on Instagram and say, ‘It’s really cool to see representation and to see myself on the screen.’ Also for acting, too. Not just science.”

Once again shutting down critics and proving (what all moms know) that women can indeed do it all, Cardi B performed at Coachella while pregnant and it was as epic as you’d imagine.

After revealing her much speculated pregnancy on Saturday Night Live, Cardi B faced some tough critics that claimed her choice to have a baby and a debut album at the same time would spell doom for the rap artist’s budding career. Nevertheless, Cardi B persisted and is proving those naysayers completely wrong. At this weekend’s Coachella festival, the mom-to-be continued to be walking proof that women can indeed have a career and a baby at the same time.

Fans on Twitter reacted accordingly to Cardi B’s spectacular performance of a medley of her hit songs along with a few featured guests. It was the rapper’s dance moves that had fans talking, however.

She didn’t let her baby bump keep her from twerking and dropping it low (not to mention getting back up again, no easy feat when you’re pregnant). She even joked, “That’s how I got pregnant ya’ll.”

Did you work though your pregnancy? Tell us your thoughts in the comments.
