Whether you and your little “peeps” want to sit down to a three course meal of find a buffet bursting with the flavors of the season, these restaurants are serving up traditional (and not-so-traditional) meals so you can enjoy the day. You can always count on the restaurants at finer hotels to provide an Easter feast. And this year, Goldfinch Tavern inside the Four Seasons Hotel Seattle, will be serving a delish Easter Day brunch. The three-course meal will start with an appetizer buffet, featuring fresh seafood, yogurt parfaits and salads. Entrees will include Lemon Ricotta Ravioli, Lobster Frittata, Alaskan King or Dungeness Crab and prime rib. Choosing is the hard part here. Ray's Boathouse

Whether you're looking to dine indoors or outdoor on the heated patio with a view, Easter with Ray's is a tradition for many Seattle families. And this year you can choose to graze at the grand holiday buffet that will be served at the Cafe upstairs, or sit down for a three-course, spring-inspired meal at the at the first floor Boathouse. Reservations are recommended no matter how you plan to spend your Easter morning, but if you've got antsy kids, we recommend the holiday buffet. Blessing of the Animals

On Sat. Apr. 16, the annual event of The Blessing of the Animals continues again! This has been a part of Olvera Street since its founding in 1930, but its practice dates back to the 4th century, when San Antonio De Abad was named the patron saint of the animal kingdom and began to bless animals to promote good health. While the blessing is rooted in Catholic tradition, you do not have to be Catholic to participate. All animals (and humans!) are welcome!

Good to Know: The line to receive blessing begins at 1:00 p.m. on Main St. and will be in front of the Pico House—please follow signs and instructions from event staff.

Easter Egg-Stravaganza The Big Egg Hunt

Go on the hunt to find 16 giant and 8 challenge eggs hidden in parks around Camarillo, between Apr. 8-16, just waiting to be found. Print out the bingo sheet found on their website, along with the parks map, to locate and record your finds. Visit as many participating parks as you can, find the eggs using the hints that are given, and write the code word from your bingo sheet. Then, turn in your bingo card at the community Easter Eggstavaganza that is taking place on Apr. 16, 10 a.m.-1 p.m. Hang out and enjoy this free community event where you can take your photo with the Easter Bunny, enjoy food, an inflatable obstacle course, music and activities in the park. Culver City's Spring Egg-Stravaganza: For some silly socially distant fun this Easter, check out Culver City's Egg-Stravaganza digital egg hunt on Apr. 9 and Apr. 10 (families can only register for one day). Families use cell phones to search at their own pace through various Culver City parks for “Eggs” (QR codes on egg posters). In this friendly competition, only bragging rights are at stake because all hunters will end their quest at Veterans Park to collect prize baskets and enjoy a Mr. Bunny photo opportunity! The experience should not take longer than 2 hours.

Botanical Garden of Georgia in Athens
The State Botanical Garden is a 313-acre preserve set aside by UGA in 1968 for the study and enjoyment of plants and nature. It contains a number of specialized theme gardens and collections, more than five miles of nature trails, and four major facilities, including a tropical conservatory. There is also a 2.5-acre, accessible children's garden that contains a variety of fun, immersive locations—including a chestnut tree house, fossil wall, giant water-misting mushrooms, vegetable garden, a replica of a North Georgia cave, and more—all designed to be learned from, crawled through and touched. Join the City of Acworth and Freedom Church at the Acworth Egg Hunt at the Acworth Sports Complex baseball fields. Face masks are strongly encouraged. Please do not attend if you or your children are feeling unwell or exhibit cold or flu symptoms. Only one parent per child will be allowed on the egg hunt fields. The egg hunt is divided into five age groups. To mitigate crowd sizes and maintain social distance, hunts will occur in 30 minute increments to allow each age group time to clear the area. Along with the arrival of spring, comes a plethora of Easter egg hunts around Seattle. And while a few of our favorite area hunts have returned for 2022, many are still on hold. We’ve rounded up our favorite egg hunts and dished on the egg-stras. So grab your Easter baskets, round up your little bunnies and read on to find an egg-citing egg hunt (or two!) near you.

Spring Egg Hunts at Seattle Community Centers

Like so many other things this year, egg hunts at Seattle’s local community centers are back! They’ll be spread out over a few days and weekends and not all area community centers are hosting them this year. But you can check the Seattle Parkways blog to see if more are added as we get closer to Easter. Hop on over with your little ones so they can gather all the eggs in their baskets. Psst…be sure to check the age restrictions for your particular neighborhood hunt, and arrive early to guarantee a spot. Most egg hunts are geared towards kids ages 11 & under.

Woodland Park Zoo Bunny Bounce & Easter Baskets for the Animals

This annual Easter extravaganza will feature egg hunts for kids ages 1-8 as well as crafts, bunny encounters, activity booths and zoo programs throughout the day. Plus, watch the penguins, grizzlies, lions, meerkats and other zoo animals nibble on special Easter baskets lined with flowers, berries and other favorite treats. Egg hunts are open on a first-come, first-served basis. This is a BYOB (basket or bag) event.

West Seattle Thriftway Easter Egg Hunt

Spring Egg-stravaganza
Take your little chicks to Kelsey Creek Farm for a fun morning with lovable farm animals. In addition to learning all about eggs, kids will get to collect eggs from the Farm’s chicken coops and compare chicken, duck and goose eggs. They will also get to pet a bunny and a chicken and go on an egg-citing egg hunt. Apr. 10, 1-2 p.m. Event details.

Easter Egg Hunt at Fox Hollow Farm
2022 update: Fox Hollow Farm is under new management and all 2022 Easter activities have been canceled.

This spring, follow Mr. Bunny down the Easter Egg Trail while meeting lots of furry farm friends and collecting eggs. Fox Hollow Farm will be bursting with fresh blooms of tulips and daffodils, and each family will have a personal meet and greet with the Easter Bunny himself. After the Egg Hunt, families may enjoy the other farm activities including baby animal interactions, child sized ATVs and the Playhouse Farm Village. Tickets are good for a two-hour window.

Beat the Bunny 5K Run & Walk
Lace up your tennies, dust off your jogging stroller and join other Seattle families for this fun Easter-themed 5K. All participants who beat the bunny to the finish line will receive a prize. Psst…before the 5K starts, kids 12 & under can participate in a free Kids Dash and try their luck at finding an egg with a egg-cellent prize inside. Apr. 2, 9 a.m. Event details.

Pysanky Egg Workshop at KidsQuest Children’s Museum
Instead of their usual egg adventure, the staff at KidsQuest will be welcoming families with kids ages 7 and up to create beautiful folk art eggs from Ukraine. Pysanky eggs are decorated with images and designs using beeswax and dyes resulting in an ornately decorated egg that’s typically given to friends or family. Now’s your chance to learn the art of Pysanky and create your own beautiful keepsake. Registration is required. Apr. 9, 5:30-7 p.m. Event details.

Spring Eggstravaganza at Redmond Town Center
2022 update: Currently, there are no plans for this event in 2022.

Once again, RTC will be hopping with festive family fun the day before Easter. In addition to an egg-citing Easter scavenger hunt for the first 2,000 kids (under 12), there will be a petting zoo, a bouncy house and an obstacle course. Other activities include face painting, glitter tattoos and Springfree trampolines to jump on, as well as arts and crafts, merchant activities and more.

Eggstravaganza Egg Hunt in Mill Creek
Families will be glad to hear this in-person event is returning to Mill Creek. It will include an egg hunt, Easter bunny photo booth, balloon twisters, fun activities, games and more. Please remember to bring a canned food donation for The Mill Creek Community Food Bank and a basket or bag for collecting eggs. Apr. 16, 10:30 a.m. – noon. Event details.

This year Pix Patisserie is once again hosting their Easter Sunday Tea with 14 bite sized savory and sweet treats and a pot of Townsend's tea. There will be 50 eggs hidden throughout the restaurant each with a golden ticket within. A special prize of $50 will be given to the person who finds the right egg! Doors open at 1:30 p.m. sharp with Tea Time at 2 p.m. and 3:30 p.m. It's an extravaganza you don't want to miss!
