Grammy-nominated performer Elle King is pregnant! The singer and fiance Dan Tooker recently revealed their baby news on Instagram and in a PEOPLE exclusive.
The road to the couple’s soon-to-be baby joy hasn’t been easy. King, who has polycystic ovary syndrome (PCOS), struggled with infertility and pregnancy loss.
King opened up about her fertility issues and subsequent pregnancy losses in PEOPLE saying, “It’s such a major thing that so many people go through, but it’s so secretive—like you have to go through it alone.” The singer added, “Nobody talks about it. It’s like you’re supposed to feel shame; like you’re not supposed to tell people before 12 weeks, because if you lose it, it’s going to be embarrassing for you and you don’t want other people to get their hopes up.”
The couple found out about King’s pregnancy on Christmas, but only recently announced the news publicly. King started her IG announcement with, “Well, we did something! Me and @tattooker made a little human!”
She went on to add, “We are very excited to share the news that we are pregnant. This news comes with a great deal of fear, and I hope that all mothers-to-be, in whatever sense that may be, know that I am trying to be very sensitive. You see, this miracle baby comes after two very big losses. It’s a terrifying and extremely painful experience for everyone. But the sun always rises, and I never really let go to let the universe decide when I was ready. I remember every pregnancy announcement felt like a dagger to me. So I want to be very delicate and say to YOU! That soon to be mom, who’s maybe had a loss, or has been struggling with fertility, I’m telling you, our babies come. And I love you.”
King continued with a shout out to other women who have gone through similar struggles, “What women go through on this journey make us nothing less than WARRIORS. So thank you for your prayers and love for our high risk pregnancy!”

Olympian Shawn Johnson East and hubby former NFL player Andrew East recently shared their baby news reveal with the world! The couple, who are expecting their second child later in 2021, took to YouTube with a behind the scenes look at their sweet (and completely comical) family baby announcement idea.
There’s no end to the creative pregnancy announcement ideas online. When Johnson East and her husband wanted to share their baby joy with the East fam, the couple explored some of the more humorous options. After nixing the idea of a literal bun in the oven, East decided to put together a family photo portrait reveal.
The soon-to-be second time dad devised a plan that involved his parents, sisters and their families. In a perfect world, the entire extended family would gather together, smile sweetly, and get a surprise when the pair announced the pregnancy. Even though this sounded like a workable idea, reality struck. With kids who wouldn’t stand still and scheduling issues, the photo idea never happened.
This left the couple on the hunt for another pregnancy reveal idea. Johnson East was ready to spill the secret without any fanfare—but her hubby wouldn’t give up on the idea of a creative announcement.
Instead of a fam photo, East built four snow people: Dad, mom, older sib, and a new baby. He hid the baby snow person until the just-right time. Many expectant moms are familiar with the comparisons between fruits and veggies to the size of their growing baby. One mom chronicled her pregnancy in the most fan girl way she could think of. Grace Navarro, a content creator from Orlando, Florida, decided to keep track of her growing bump with weekly photo updates inspired by some of her favorite fandoms: Harry Potter, Disney, and The Office.
Navarro didn’t plan on creating these kinds of updates when she first found out she was pregnant. She was focused on doing a massive Harry Potter pregnancy announcement that had been in the works for years.
While she was working on the video, one of the pregnancy apps she downloaded told her that at 14 weeks, her baby would be the size of a beet. She enlisted her husband Brennan Horine’s photography skills and dressed up as Dwight Schrute, from one of her favorite shows, The Office, since her baby was about the size of a beet from Schrute Farms.
Navarro said, “I thought it would be fun to put together a Dwight progress picture as a one time thing.” She did not expect the reaction she received, and since people loved it so much, she decided to commit to posting a new fandom based pregnancy update each week.
Over the course of her pregnancy, Navarro spent hours brainstorming and trying to come up with costumes for each week. Navarro, had a lot of the supplies on hand, so she was able to cut back on costs, but she found it challenging to continue with the project for so many weeks. She said, “There were times I almost quit, especially when I got sick, but in the end I’m glad I kept on going until the end.”
Looking through the photos, you can appreciate the amount of time and planning that went into creating the shots. Navarro had more than one shoot inspired by The Office. At week 30, she dressed as Jim Halpert holding a stapler encased in Jell-O.
Charlotte “Charlie” Grace Navarro Horine was born via C-section on Nov. 21, 2019 and weighed 6 pounds 10 ounces. As expected, she continues to star in her own photo shoots!
Congrats to Natalie Imbruglia! The singer recently announced the birth of her first child.
Imbruglia first shared her baby news back in July. In an Instagram post announcing her record deal with BMG, the performer wrote, “And as you can see from the pic.. there is another announcement… (no I haven’t swallowed a watermelon). I’m expecting my first child this Autumn.”
Along with the initial pregnancy announcement, Imbruglia also added, “For those of you that know me, this has been something I have wanted for a very long time and I’m blessed that this is possible with the help of IVF and a sperm donor — I won’t be saying anything more on that publicly.”
So what did Imbruglia name her new baby boy? In a recent, and completely cute post, the singer shared a sweet pic of her newborn’s teeny tiny hand gripped around her thumb along with “Welcome to the world..Max Valentine Imbruglia.”
The Today family is growing—again! Following on the heals of Hoda Kotb’s adoption announcement, brand-new fourth-hour co-anchor (and former first daughter) Jenna Bush Hager, announced that she’s having baby number three.
Bush Hager is already mom to daughters Mila, 6, and Poppy, 3. After years of raising girls it looks like the five-and-a-half-months pregnant mama is about to experience what it’s like to raise a son! During an on-air reveal, Bush Hager told the world that she’s having a boy.
The co-anchor opened up on Today about her fertility struggles, saying, “We weren’t really trying to get pregnant. We had some fertility issues with Poppy.” She went on to add, “It’s a little bit of a shock, but it’s such great news.”
Along with sharing her baby news, Bush Hager also spoke openly about a prior ectopic pregnancy (prior to getting pregnant with now-six-year-old Mila). The soon-to-be mama of three told Today’s Meredith Vieira, “I was so excited … I got to the doctor’s office and she said, ‘Yeah, you’re pregnant, but we can’t find the baby.” After being told that her pregnancy was ectopic (developing outside of the uterus), Bush Hager had emergency surgery to remove the pregnancy and one fallopian tube.
So why did the Today co-anchor choose to wait until well into her second trimester to share her news? While she didn’t exactly say why she waited, Bush Hager did dish on why she felt she needed to tell right now, “And I’m only telling because Mila and Poppy found out yesterday in their Easter baskets. (Then) they told the man behind me on the airplane; they told the people at church. So …”

It’s springtime, which means celeb baby season is abuzz with news that Lauren Conrad is pregnant with her second child! The 33-year-old star of The Hills made the announcement in a sweet and of course, super stylish post on Instagram Tuesday morning.
“It’s been hard to keep this one to myself!” Conrad captioned her post. “Very excited to share that our family will be getting a little bigger this year,” she added.
No word yet on whether Conrad and husband William Tell are expecting a boy or a girl, or even a hint at her due date. Chances are, however, they’re likely to find out the sex of their baby, as they did during Conrad’s first pregnancy. She told People at the time, “I don’t really love surprises. I like to have all the information. And I was sharing my body with someone—so I wanted to know as much as possible about him.” Conrad and Tell welcomed their first child, son Liam James, in July 2017.
“When we found out [we were having a boy, I was so excited,” Conrad told People in 2017.
Let’s also give major props to Conrad for waiting until the day after Apr. 1 to make her pregnancy announcement—so as not to be mistaken for an April Fool’s Day prank done in poor taste (Justin Bieber, take notes).

In late 2017, Johnson East publicly opened up about having a miscarriage during her first pregnancy, posting an emotional video about her experience to YouTube. That makes this pregnancy a long time in the making—and it looks like the parents-to-be are positively giddy at their happy news.
In their latest YT video, the East’s recap how they found out about the pregnancy. Johnson East reveals the subtle symptoms she felt earlier on, but despite the somewhat noticeable signs, the first few pregnancy tests Johnson East took were negative.
Still feeling symptomatic, Johnson East decided to take yet another pregnancy test—while visiting the couple’s close friends. As it turns out, Johnson East was right, because this test was decidedly positive! The Olympic gymnast shared the news with her hubby, taping his completely cute reaction.
