Here’s How to Get One from Krispy Kreme Most people in their ’90s probably feel like their best years are long behind them, but the world’s most extreme grandpa is not most people. At 91-years-old, John Carter of Trail, British Colombia likes to spend his days back-flipping off the high dive board and he is every bit as amazing as he sounds. To say Carter enjoys staying active is an understatement. In a mini documentary about his extreme extra-curricular activities, Carter shows the world that being in your ’90s doesn’t mean you have to sit still. Far from it! Besides doing back-flips off of the 10-foot diving board, Carter spends five days a week in the gym and goes snowshoeing and bike riding. He also runs and plays soccer with his grandkids. He says he’s in peak health and he expects to keep going well into his 100s. The video, which was shot by Carter’s grandson-in-law, Devin Graham, an extreme sports videographer, has garnered over 100,000 views on YouTube and it’s already earned him a fanbase at the pool. “I usually have three or four people watching me,” Carter said. “They’ll come and ask me, how old are you? It is kind of cute and I just want to keep doing it and having fun.” That we should all be so spry and cool as Carter when we’re grandparents one day! —Shahrzad Warkentin Featured photo: devinsupertramp via YouTube RELATED STORIES: Paul McCartney’s New Picture Book Is for Every Cool Grandparent in Your Life Should Grandparents Babysit the Kids?
